( it's not the first time norton's pitched in to helping out in a medical setting.

though he's mostly just finding busywork to do—simple tasks that the nurse just doesn't have the time or energy to focus on with a revolving door of ill and injured students passing through. tidying, relaying messages, occasionally norton will sit and keep company with a student who's waiting to go home. one thing he's not allowed to do yet is actually treat students, which is a shame, because he's actually pretty decent at that part. regardless, he is the only one in sight when someone else steps into the room, raising his eyes to meet theirs. )

Sorry, the nurse is busy with something urgent right now.

( sports club injury. looked pretty bad. even so, norton will pause, expectant. )

Can I ask if you're sick or injured?

( otherwise, norton is pretty quick to get to work with testing out some of the instructions he's been given from their faculty advisor. he must look like a pretty great student right about now, real passionate about camping and outdoorsmanship—spent probably over an hour practically interrogating the poor guy on how different water filtration setups worked. can't be helped, though; he won't pretend like he hasn't noticed those faint traces of pink tinting his water. today, he's hoping that this'll give him the comfort of mind that he can stop burning merit points on juice because he can't bring himself to drink the water.

so anyway, he's just finished eating a banana in the cooking room, blending up the peel after. he'll scrape the contents into the little setup he has—a fresh coffee filter set up over a glass jar—and begin to pour the pitcher of water through the banana-filter. not super impressive, no, but norton looks pretty focused.

anybody nearby who hasn't interrupted him this far will notice him sparing a glance in their direction. staring at his new fresh banana water for a long moment, he'll consider it before turning his attention back to them and gesturing absently to his jar. )
