I wouldn't call something like me a martyr.

( him? a martyr? he'd rather take the role of a god from the way that he acts — living without actually living, dying without actually dying. he's done it all thanks to his luck, so at this point, he doesn't understand the way the other shows so much concern. he's unable to show empathy to the people around him, but what he can give is a chance at obtaining absolute hope — noah's right about one thing, as long as they're all together, it'll be achievable. it's right, that's right — normal people get upset, and komaeda isn't anything of the sort. he's just a lousy "transfer student" with a lousy "talent" that means nothing to anyone around him — it can't change the problems around them. )

If someone died.. and everyone didn't use it to overcome their own despair.. that's a sign of weakness.

( his eyes stare at the body within the glass case, curious as to who it may be on the other side, and why this happened to them specifically. if it was him, he wouldn't mind being what brought about his classmate's hope. he has no normal social skills outside of talking about dying, but he's too interested in what the others will do that the topic is exciting to him. )

Anyway, Ebalon-kun, you're sensitive to your surroundings, aren't you? You've suffered loss that didn't give you hope.. or did you lose yourself along the way?
