( she watches the pendant disappear beneath their collar. ugh... come back safe and sound... will touching the track kill the shopkeeper? she hopes not.

[ Disappointing. But it's still a gross amount of money for some rocks, so npc-kun nods their agreement and heads off towards the tracks in a trot, then a sprint, then a leap!! over the tracks to land on the turf on the other side, slipping on the grass and landing on their ass but it's fine, it's fine, they made it there alive.

They crouch down at the edge of the track and seems to take their time looking for the perfect rocks. It's a track... there shouldn't be rocks here in the first place, that's a tripping hazard. Maybe they can chip part of the track off.

Some stabbing later, npc-kun manages to pluck five rocks off the track and makes a little basket with the hem of their shirt and comes trotting back. ]

( she watches them jog away, a little stumped by the whole interaction, but —

well, it's worth a shot, right? she heard that touching the track kills you, but does it, really? npc-kun certainly looks alive when they come back. )

You got it? ( perking up a little, she trots over to them, to glance into their little shirt basket.

... sure looks like five pieces of chopped up track... )

[ Touching the track does... something. It's not important right now, as npc-kun grins proudly at Rika and shows off the track rocks, like they're expecting praise or something. ]

Yep! Here, take them!

[ Once she does, they're going to take their satchel back. ]

01.

( this is komaeda's second time attempting to bring lily may outside with him — not because he wants to terrorize her, but that he genuinely wants to do this... club thing. it'll be much better with a cat, she'd be able to lead them to food, things of that matter, and when no one's looking that can slip back inside of the school when it's too hot. she's covered in endless amounts of fur, and komaeda's close to dying: in a way, they're the same.

right now, lily may is settled in his arms (he waited until she was finished eating before trying it), and now he's bringing her towards the exit of the school. she doesn't take to this kindly at all, so her immediate response is to bear claws first, and go for komaeda's face — it's done quickly, but she's sinking her claws into his skin, and he does flinch from the contact. the worst part is that he keeps a smile on his face. whoever views this... will just have to accept it, because until komaeda takes a step back away from the school's doors will the feline calm down, her fur no longer puffed up in irritation, and she seems... calm again.

maybe she doesn't need a treat to feel better because komaeda didn't make it out the door, but he does have a few scratches on his face that are bleeding. anyway, he's going to walk to whoever is closest. )

( it's hot...

komaeda doesn't do well in the heat, but he's not going to take off his jacket either since it's his livelihood and the staple — he just wouldn't be komaeda without it. fanning himself only works so long until he feels a bit lightheaded, and given his weak disposition, he already feels like he's seeing stars. in order to remedy this problem, he takes a deep breath as he looks around the courtyard in search of — aha, there it is.

the hose that rokkun used on him last time which he's going to take advantage of! getting down on his knees, he turns it on so he can hold the hose up above his head and proceed to water himself. his head first so that his hair falls and attaches itself to his face, and he even goes as far as to run his fingers through it, scratching through to clean his scalp. he at least tries to take care of himself when he remembers, and dying in the heat is enough of a reason to do so. once he's done, he drops the running hose onto the ground as he takes in his surroundings — outside, nature, it's not jabberwock, but he's able to deal with this.

getting to his feet, he figures that he should find something to entertain himself with, but with one step forward he steps on the hose — and if an unfortunate person is walking by, they'll find themselves sprayed from head to do. maybe they're fast enough to dodge it, but sometimes bad things happen... and you wind up the target by a hose in such an unforeseen circumstance that even komaeda turns his head towards your character, claps, and — )

( it's not a normal activity for normal people, but if he has to do something outdoor survival-y, this is more that enough. ori if you see this, komaeda paid for like a few shiny pebbles from npc-kun, he needs it for this technique, sighs. in his hands are few pebbles, roughly around the size of 2cm. in his mechanical hand is a few pieces of string that they can use in their attempt if they really want. )

In this book I read, it's really effective against darners, but any dragonfly will work.

( because they're territorial creatures to begin with, but you know. they can always try, so here's komaeda trying to put the items that they're companion needs into their hands. )

( outdoor survival, more like it's too hot! have komaeda anywhere, i'm sure he'd be doing some stupid shit like trying to climb the wisteria (and probably fall busting his ass, or falling on someone), or you can have him build a tent... free game. )
