( this is something that needs to be reminded, because even though he means well by saying this to komaeda — he can't make any of that happen. he has no power, he's hasn't reached that peak of his life where every action of his matters. he's still an annoying reserve course student who believes he has a spot within the crowd of ultimates, and komaeda knows better that he has no home here. that flash of determination, both his wants and desires are easily dismissed and yet komaeda knows.. that there's something. yes, he knows that there's only empty words and false promise that he wishes to deliver, and komaeda won't be fooled by it. that's why in lucky student's eyes it seems like he can't accept it, if he can't choose properly with his heart, his brain will pick up the slack. )
