Why was there a bomb...?

[ Narumi legit thought Shin was just crazy. But he slowly pushes himself up onto his feet and has to give this one to Shin. He looks from the burning car to the burning building and thinks about his bed inside that if he has to crawl through the flames to get back to, he's still considering it. Heaving a sigh, he runs his hands through his hair and stares at the ground. Looks up. At least it's—

The rain stops. ]

[ She makes angry jazz hands of her own to gesture to the shellshocked Narumi! It was unexpectedly social for Sou... She should have KNOWN he was plotting again. Plotting to not let anyone know he knew there was a bomb in the house? What?

The rain stops but she's already wet AND singed so there's no point, and she's still mad.]

...I guess it was a bomb. [ They're all just going in a circle recognizing that bombs exist and one was present. ]

( komaeda's going to grab their wrist, pulling them along to a front loader not too far away, which he thinks would be a good use of moving away the debris that's in their way. perhaps what they're looking for is under the rubble and glass, and they certainly can't move that with their hands... )

[ said in the way of "not legally, but technically" and besides, everybody is willing to break the law for Narumin's sake, they need to step up and show how far they're willing to go for their friend too.

So yeah there's nowhere to actually move all the debris to since most of it was originally up in the air so they're just... going to push it all into a pile or something, pending further instruction from Komaeda. ]

( great, he thinks, watching as hikaru gets into the vehicle, and komaeda will stand on the outside because he doesn't want his luck to backfire next to them. he dangerously walks close next to the moving vehicle, following after it to make sure that the other is getting what's important. that said, he'll cup his mouth with his hands to call out to them. )

Don't forget the deceased, separate them from the rubble so we have two stacks.

( a little morbid, but considering everyone else is also here, they have to signal letting them know that group one has already checked here.

he drops his hands down, and now he's looking on the ground for a lighter... )

[She's the one who actually got Narumi moving. Why are you looking so smug and evil about this, Shin please. Except his arm isn't doing the thing and his beanie is missing and his hair is wet with rain, so he looks more like an smug evil kitten.

Plotting to get a guy out of his own house! Besides, isn't that what you're supposed to do? Evacuate without anyone panicking? ...maybe he did that too well. He jams the beanie awkwardly back onto his head and looks at the flames wondering if they're supposed to do anything about that, one keen ear on Narumi's response.]

[ Now that I'm properly home and back on my laptop, I can have Hikaru turn around and look at Komaeda like what the fuck? They're not going to shovel people around, thanks, they're just doing their best to clear some of the rubble off so they can hop back down on the ground and pull people to the curbside in person so that when they wake up again they'll all miraculously have missed being crushed to death. ]

( oh, they don't want to shovel them? well, at least that means komaeda can't burn them all as a signal with smoke and everything. there's already dead people hikaru... they're already dead... the hex was after... hikaru? hikaru please...

if only komaeda could say that, but maybe some can survive, who knows, and so he'll grab someone by their leg to drag them along as well to the side — he doesn't struggle as much, but he brings about two as he wanders further towards the collapsed building or whatever, trying to see if there's anything that stands out. helena said low to the ground, and so komaeda gets down on his knees to push a few things away to peek.

[ If anything, Narumi looks thoroughly resigned. He'd taken half a step towards the burning apartment before Sara directs that comment at him and he's forced to stop and turn around. ]

[ Komaeda, where's your hope!!!

[ I mean... yeah... there are probably manholes on the street and Komaeda can drop down into the sewage if he wants.

Hikaru gets maybe five minutes in of people lifting but they're dead weight and it's exhausting so they turn to call to everybody else, ] I'm going to grab a glass of water! Be right back!

[ and heads back to that restaurant with the squeaky floorboards with nothing underneath that Lucifer said not to throw anybody inside and technically they're not disobeying him when they step on the board and it snaps beneath their feet and they get swallowed up by the void. ]

( preemptive icon because now hikaru's gone and lucifer is going to kill komaeda. )

Lucifer's "my child is in danger" sense tingles as he's walking away to go get Helena and then something horrible in his stomach churns and he briskly goes back to the restaurant and, yeah, let's just say

I veto Ori's decision to kill Hikaru, Lucifer fucking yeets himself into the void with wings outstretched and tries to grab The Child to bring them back to the surface because NO

by this point she's pretty much figured out this isn't where the small thing is...but maybe the large building towards the city center is gonna be on the way of wherever she's going....let's go until I guess a frozen car is gonna hit her by Lucifer logic]

( we're split into threes, i'm crying. helena where are you, komaeda will go find her... and then they'll go back to the restaurant because that sure is a long time to get water.

[no the stasis is not over!!! the stasis ends whenever Lucifer's hour he said y'all had is up but for drama's sake let's just say Hikaru going void has the spell get a bit wobbly for a second because he broke his concentration on the spell :/]

[ Komaeda redirects Helena back towards the restaurant, where Lucifer's caught Hikaru by the back of their collar just before they disappeared into the abyss. ]

—senpai! Let go, there was somebody else down there!

... Maybe we should move away from here, then.

[finally getting back onto his feet, pocketing the destroyed soulocle, and offering a hand to anyone who needs it... no one seems to be injured and his magic can't un-explode a building or a car, so. he can save his mana for later, no fancy tricks for right now.

he puts a hand on Narumi's shoulder, attempting to gently steer him away from the carnage.] Unless there's somewhere else you'd feel safer, we did already promise you dinner.

[You're killing him, Hikaru. You're killing your father.

Lucifer pulls Hikaru up, cradles them like a baby, and then folds his wings so that he can fit into the tight space.]

[And then Lucifer, who will do anything Hikaru asks, just yeets himself into the void and opens his wings up once he's through the hole so that they don't, you know, go careening into death.]

[ It's a very strange feeling when you're scared out of your wits and wildly concerned for whatever's down at the bottom of a pit but also stupid happy because Lucifer is holding you in his arms and you get to wrap your arms around him and he's warm and

[ They squint into the darkness, so sure they had seen movement down here, or at least a—

Oh... yeah. [ He lets Clamor steer him, though obviously reluctant. ] They'll probably come back to check that the job is done.

[ That he's dead, etc. and he'd rather be sitting in a ramen restaurant halfway across the city in his pajamas than here when that happens. He's cold, wet, hungry, but it could be worse.

I don't have anywhere else to go, so... anywhere is fine.

[ But first he peels the wet socks off his feet and lays them at the side of the building, just in case a miracle happens and Satou comes home and he'll know that Narumi made it out okay, he wouldn't want his dog to worry. ]

Oblivious to the fact that he is Warm™, Lucifer shifts so that they can head toward the direction of the light, which he does indeed spot after it's pointed out to him. We'll just say he's flying at a reasonable pace, not too fast but not slowly, they're sort of in a little bit of a rush here?

[ok they have returned now from what could have been a big adventure, holding hands, and Helena can tap around enough to realize they're under the floor?? what??]
