[with the cultural festival on the horizon, subaru's been very pumped--

and tending to push desks around in 3-b once class is over, taking over day duty for the week so he can have the keys to lock up. it's familiar, in a way, though there's no one dangling the precious commodity of "friendship" over his head like a scrap of food these days. just the general peace and quiet of an empty room once everything's moved to the back, and once he's done his warm-up stretches he starts to practice the choreography he and natsume (mostly natsume) have cooked up for their performance.

no music, no sounds save the squeak of his sneakers on polished floor, and it's a rare sight to see subaru so concentrated, movements fluid and with an ease that goes beyond practice; he's got a natural rhythm, something people might call "talent", that might just draw the eye and keep it there a moment longer than expected.

... yet at the same time, he seems just a little out of reach.

he won't mind interruptions, or people joining him -- in fact, he may just enjoy the company and welcome the break, consider he'll be doing this when he's not with natsume on the rooftop and later into most nights.]

it's a lot more violent than he'd thought, and it's not the first time subaru finds himself sitting in the nurse's office getting treated for cuts and bruises. it won't be the last either! maybe he's waiting his turn outside it today, or maybe he's just coming out, but he's definitely around,

and if he's not there, he's in the auditorium doing some solo practice!!! and if subaru sees you, he will make you play against him... less violent than the actual sport, but the later in the month this is the more aggressive he seems to get when he's on defense.]

[you. subaru turns and points at whoever he sees, his starry-black cased phone held in front of him. pretty much anyone can correctly guesstimate he's filming. don't try and escape either -- subaru is fast, and he'll be taking every long stride he needs to corner his target. it's almost a horror film.]
