[ There have been signs that things were different at some point, but... well, he doesn't think he knows exactly why things are the way that they are. ]

As for your question...I'm not certain, to be quite honest, as the reason is still unknown, other than to gain 'something' important.

However, I was informed that apparently they took upon a contract that 'allowed' them to stay here. So I had interpreted that they, through another party, willingly made their way here and managed to bargain themselves with another into prolonging their stay until the end of year. But, apparently at the end of that, they will cease to be.

Not the direct cause, but there was a terrible fire that devastated the school at one point. I would say around that time, is when the school began to struggle.

[ Even if he hasn't heard of the fire from other people from other missions, he could see scars of it in the void version of the school, especially that of the fourth floor where entire rooms were burnt down to leave only the framework of the building and nothing more.

The fact that the entire school didn't collapse with the extent of the damage is something to think about, maybe. ]

He is a dear friend of mine, and has been teaching here since before I was welcomed as part of the staff. He can be fickle, however, much like a cat... I feel that I must apologize on his behalf.
