He'll be turning eight in a few months time!

[If whatever happened back home hasn't killed him, but he's not going to think about that right now.]

...It'll be the first birthday since I left home that I won't be able to send him any gifts. I suppose I'll need to go overboard with an assortment of presents once I am home again...
