[ The card stays fixed in place, though it's always impossible to tell if that's a good or a bad thing. How long he keeps them varies, as with everything else it depends on the day and his mood and where his thoughts are. But because he's an AI, he can ensure that the little twitches and bits of fidgeting that define his normal behavior are there. He does so now, trying to sift through his muddied thoughts.

He thinks that he doesn't really want to be here. But leaving on such a sour note doesn't seem right either. He also doesn't feel like just pushing past it, but even he's smart enough to figure out that this is neither the time nor the place to act on his emotions, so up the card stays. No one can see him behind it, and in return he doesn't have to see anything or anyone.

Rio really is honest with his emotions, however much he fails to realize it for himself. But that doesn't mean much when he can't put any of that into words to share them with anyone else. ]

... Hm? No, it wasn't.

[ One could almost think he was being petty if not for the simple, frank way that he says it, which suggests that the implication just went right over his head. ]
