The ladder upstairs is sturdy and seems well used; perhaps the janitor makes frequent trips down here for one reason or another. There isn't anything else in the generator room not already mentioned above.

Across the hall on the right hand, though, they enter and find an incinerator with a holding chamber large enough to fit an adult person. There is a thick layer of black ash inside, unevenly piled like whatever was inside was left to burn and then abandoned instead of cleaning it out, but otherwise it's cold and the machine looks like it's been turned off. Starting it again requires a key, with the key hole not matching any of the keys found/pilfered by any character thus far.
