Free time ain't much of a thing where I'm from. Always working, in one way or another. Going out with friends, though, that's always fun, hitting up a disco. My boyfriend and I'd walk the dog together quite a bit.
[Bill. He looked so furious. She'd seen him angry before, but never like that. Like he was going to kill her.
Shouldn't you tell us what you find relaxing first? Everyone would surely think of different ideas, and it's no good if my number one recommendation doesn't match your preferences.
handmade items, homemade food, art and other expressions of creativity, friendship bracelets, medicines and poisons, items people have placed their hopes into or on, and gifts given with affection or any strong emotion!
we can talk about it more in person if you don't have anything.
[ Though it feels weird not to address her as "Nancy Fagin" at least! And he suspects that if he introduces himself, she'll assume that the person behind these messages is a woman... He'll avoid it for now. ]
In that case, the school library contains many books, but I doubt that it's possible to somehow purchase alcoholic beverages from the vending machines or elsewhere. However, there are plenty of other relaxing options, such as tea or juice.
[ But the fact that she's specifically asking for something like this... ]
Yeah- figured that one out. I do like tea, at least.
[She's actually shocked the stranger asks if she's alright. She looks at the message and blinks a few times. Starts typing, then deletes. It's five minutes later she finally submits something.]
( which means he's going to stand outside the student store which around the corner happens to be various vending machines for if she's thirsty, but rather than saying her last name and inquiring if any the passing students are her, he instead asks them if they're looking for him. the normal responses happen to be split between "not now komaeda!" and "i'll buy something from you later". )
I see... It's a lot calmer here. There's classes, and they'll let you work as a teacher if you want too. But after class, you're able to do whatever you want.
There are paths in the forest that you can follow if you like to walk. I think that can be relaxing. I don't think we have a disco, but there's an arcade machine in the dormitory, and the game club has some consoles too.
Depends on your definition of 'relax'. Shit's different for everyone.
Also: it's already been said, but the short version to your last question is "very". It's all public. Anyway, welcome. Although I can't say it's a good one.
[It takes a minute or two, but eventually Nancy finds her way to the student store. A man's already asking questions, and when he does ask if she's looking for him, she smiles, and waves casually, only her first three fingers extended.]
Yeah- You're the one I was texting with, right? 'M Nancy.
( excited as always, he keeps a smile on his face as he reaches out with his left — a prosthetic — to shake her hand gently (or so he hopes, he likes to think he's gotten better over a year of being like this.) he pulls his hand away once they're done, arms dropping down to his side. )
I'm a shopkeeper here for now, but shifts will be changing at a later time.
( but that's nothing to worry about, what matters is that he's able to help. realizing they're just standing in the hall, komaeda takes a few steps back to keep the store's door open so she can walk inside. )
[She can't help but pull a face when he calls her by her surname. She had no love for the man she knew only as Fagin. But Bill had never saw fit to make her a Sikes.
And now he never would.
She shakes his hand without incident.] No, no, just Nancy, please. [She waves away his concern.] No worries at all. So this is the school shop. [Nancy glances about, taking it all in] Interesting.
( as she enters the student store, nancy will find all sorts of items strung up. dreamcatchers on hooks with little feathers and jewels attached, bottles of unknown substance with a cute little skull and a x beneath (there's others with a written redirection of "ask the seller"). various buttons in a container with another jar filled with colorful bracelets for sell as well, they're pretty simple within the shop especially with the clothes that a customer can purchase among other things on the sales floor.
and various teacups with different flowers molded on the side, pink kalmias and blue roses, and white chrysanthemums kissed against the handle. they look realistic, but if nancy thinks to touch them she'll find that they're not.
walking behind the counter, he closes the small wooden door, locking it as he leans forward, elbows against the surface. )
Ah... How do I explain... ( he's thinking. ) where I'm from using your first name is affectionate! It'd be disrespectful to think that I have that right with you. Last name is polite...
( unless you're an asunaro, but nancy might like that about them. )
