It's time for a FAMILY MEETING!

What: It's time for a family meeting! Because seriously some things need to be DISCUSSED.
WARNINGS: Death and murder, discussions of cannibalism

After a night of a feral cat losing it's goddamn mind, a day of half the adults and several students looking absolutely exhausted and more, and the end of the auction, clearly something is up. Plus, there'd been plans to investigate certain things after the last meeting that never had been elaborated on. So this time, Nene takes things into her own hands. So once again, transfer students will find a note in their lockers requesting their presence at Class 1-B at 6 PM, after everyone else has gone home. 

Even if last time was... kind of a mess. 

Is she desperate enough to enact a speaking ball? ... Not yet. But in her pockets is a brand new NERF gun and five darts. 

So she unearths the cardboard jail, set up around some desks in the corner, but otherwise clears the board and sets out pieces of chalk... but hoo boy, does she look kind of miffed? And it doesn't even have anything to do with Hanako-kun cracking up at Gay Baby Jail. He'll understand soon enough. 

On the board is several things in chalk- "LAST NIGHT", "NEW THINGS" and "FROM LAST TIME" with lines underneath, like she's perparing to take notes. Thankfully, there is more than one piece of chalk however.

As with last time, this is a free-for-all! Feel free to start discussions, theories, or share information and jump around between things and include everyone! Inviting others into the discussion is great, everyone should get a chance to be involved.

HOWEVER: LET THE OOC DISCOVERER SHARE THEIR OWN DISCOVERIES ICly. People work hard for their clues and information, and there should be no thunder-stealing!

Right... I was thinking the same. If the meetings are too frequent, we might not have enough time to investigate in between... but any rarer than that could be risky too.

[ Since the information they gather might just... stop being relevant, or have escalated already by the time they actually discuss it. ]

I suppose we could go with monthly, but make exceptions if anything urgent happens and it can't wait. In cases like those, we could call an additional, emergency meeting off-schedule.

Ah, well... I think it's less about expecting it and more that... it's been longer than a month by this point. So everyone's just considering the worst case scenarios, like graduation.

You entered this world somehow, so there must also be an exit. Instead of worrying about everything that's going on here and trying to figure things out, isn't it better for you to focus on finding the exit? Otherwise, every time you meet, it'll become like this!

Sorry. I know that your point isn't ill-intended, but... I don't think there's anything wrong with being careful about it, either. And besides, are the situation here and the way to leave it two disconnected things...?

[ The confidence comes from wanting to protect one person only, as opposed to being concerned about the wellbeing of an entire group. Hanako's already dead, so those usual worries about food and safety don't occur to him, not when he's used to going out there and dealing with things himself. ]

Who knows? People have been disappearing, right? Maybe they found the way out and left this place behind. If you found that sort of exit, wouldn't you go ahead and leave?

...You have someone important you'd try to take with you first, don't you? I think you should know that answer already.

[ ...That's true. He would take Nene with him, and if she weren't around, he would have to go back and find him. She would try to bring everybody else too and it'll be a ripple effect... if not for the fact that Hanako would 1000% knock Nene out and drag her to the exit alone without bothering to tell anybody else. ]

[ He's not that naive, regardless of how he might have come across to Hanako. Sure, there are clusters among them who do share close bonds, but to say that the group as a whole is unitary to that extent... he'd be lying, to himself first of all.

Unfortunately, it's something else that made Shuichi so certain of what he said. ]

But people haven't been disappearing in such convenient or logical groups. It's all been disjointed, seemingly individual cases.

[ What does that say is more likely? ]

How many people? Where were they last seen or doing?

[ A common location, a common action... Something that links even the most individual seeming cases, because there has to be some sort of rule being followed. ]

Who was the first?

[ Hanako... this isn't the point he was trying to make!? ]

Ah, well... There's no guarantee that they've all even been accounted for. I suppose you'd have to ask the people who knew them in each case.

[ Which is an entire investigation route on its own. Is this the birth of detective Hanako? ]

[ NO I refuse to play detective Hanako, that's Maya's job. Besides, he doesn't know anybody here, doesn't know any of the people who are gone, and quite frankly does not care. ]

How long have you all been here? A month? And you're already losing track...

[ ok but will maya listen if we tell her our friends have been going missing and nobody Even Remembers them or will she think we all belong in a circus full of CLOWNS because honestly we do and she'd be right but maybe shuichi has no choice but to prefer hanako here. listen.

I don't think... it's all that surprising. The group is a little too large for any single person to feasibly know everyone right away, not to mention keep track of them all.

A large group losing a large number of people, though...

[ He's not talking about personal responsibility to keep tabs on everybody, but just the fact that there's so many victims and very few leads. In his mind, it's definitely something supernatural— humans killing humans can't hide themselves that easily, not in an enclosed space surrounded by so many others. ]

I guess I'll look into it! If there's anything supernatural going on, I'll get to the bottom of it.

We barely know what kind of situation we're in here. This entire school could be a shared hallucination, a physical place we've been held captive, or a combination of the two—I shouldn't even have a body right now, so what does that say about all of this? Most of us have had our magic sealed, too. Our memories have been tampered with, we don't know the real reason why we're all here... as much as I'd like to just leave, the problem isn't anywhere close to being that simple. We don't even know what kind of exit we're looking for, let alone where it is.

We need to figure out what we've all gotten ourselves into before we can start making any serious escape plans. That means surviving, in the meantime, and sharing whatever information we can get.

[ he's being lectured........... and can't help the old habit of letting his gaze drift and mind wander whenever a teacher figure goes off on him needing to consider this or that but—

He waits until Clamor has to pause to breathe before he reaches out and pokes him on the arm. ]

Are you some sort of supernatural? A spirit?

[ Let's talk about more important things. ]

[wow rude, don't doze off while he's lecturing?? he put a lot of thought into all those words...

But he also hasn't really talked much about that part, so... fair. He sighs.]

Not exactly... the short version is, I got involved with some bad people who sealed my soul inside a weapon. It took a thousand years for me to wake up, and it's been another year on top of that. The chances of my real body still being intact are slim to none at this point.

It doesn't make any sense to me for whoever's behind all of this to make me a new body. I think it's more likely to be a complex illusion. We need to understand what it's trying to accomplish before we can find the root of it and break free.

Hmm... Yeah, I got nothing!

[ Clamor's situation is his own business, and sounds unique to him and so Hanako won't worry too much about it. Being able to be seen and touched as a ghost came as a surprise, but there certain situations that allow for it that makes sense in context. ]

It's all fine and good to say you're going to "figure things out" and "understand what's going on," but what specifically are you going to do? [ All talk and no action doesn't produce results. At least he's no stranger to taking things into his own hands, throwing a glance over at Stephanie in recalling their conversation. ] The person in charge is the student council president, so... she and I will have a little chat.

Is she in charge? She's just a student here... [he'd be quicker to suspect the faculty... but they don't seem to know much, either, and this school might not even be real, so. who is in charge, a good question.] She does seem like she knows more than most people here, though, so it's worth keeping an eye on her. I'm sure she knows more than she's been letting on.

Personally, I'm more interested in that otherworld with all the shadows. If it's a sign of the illusion breaking down, we might find more solid answers over there rather than in here.

[which means... taking more trips to voidschool, maybe. please don't look over here Noah—]

...you're not going in there alone. You don't even know how to fight. [It doesn't matter that the ghosts are noncombative. Something else could be.] What if you can't find a mirror? What if you get overwhelmed by the ghosts like I almost did? What if you die, huh, what happens then?

I never said anything about going in alone. [......but he was thinking about it. maybe. its fine.]

The shadows are only dangerous if we pick a fight with them, or if someone is already injured. But you shouldn't be going in at all... we don't know if any of them might hold a grudge.

You don't have to say it. I'm not oblivious.

If they hold a grudge, I can just fight them all off again. [No.] And— and you were at my back that entire fight, so you can't seriously think they wouldn't recognize you if that's the case!

It's not like I could much besides stand there. What was I going to do, swing a broom at them?
