a) travels
• open — 05/19, 2nd floor, right wing
( it takes little time for him to figure out the idea — that he can't leave. what's really strange about it is that... others can? there's a distinct lack of physical barriers preventing him, but even so, it's as if the world itself is engineered to trap him here. it is... something that he makes note of, but after some time spent checking his options, it's also something he sincerely doubts will be easily solved. more importantly, what he notices is that there are some students who just... don't go home. as if they aren't concerned with even trying to leave, even as the building begins to empty out for the evening.b) find my way
so it's them he decides to focus on, and the next person to pass him in the hallway is his first victim. with a wave to draw their attention, amami offers a smile. at the same time, his mind turns, trying to figure out how best to phrase this so he doesn't seem like he's crazy if he's wrong. lets see... first off: )
Sorry, but do you have a minute?
• open — 05/19, 1st floor, bulletin board
( another thing he finds to be of note as he wanders through the halls is the bulletin board. the rules, for one, are beyond bizarre — that's a puzzle that he's going to pocket for the time being. what he's really interested in right now is the class assignments. it takes him a few minutes, peering through the names recorded on the sheet, but it does strike him that not all of the names are unfamiliar. a few stand out: kaede akamatsu, shuichi saihara, kokichi ouma... if it's true... well, at least one of those names is someone that amami has reason to consider may be trustworthy in a situation like this.c) wildcard
option one:
this time, victim number two is anybody who happens to be near the front hall. turning to glance at them, he gestures to the sheet. )
Hey, you wouldn't happen to know Kaede Akamatsu, would you?
option two:
( or maybe your name is one of those he'd recognize in the first place. in that case, when he turns, instead of an amicable smile, you're treated with a momentary expression of wide-eyed surprise. )
What a coincidence, I didn't think I'd see you here.
• open — anywhere, any time
( have an idea? feel free to throw anything else my way, or if you're unsure, you can hit me up via pm or atkagehira! )

[he means those doors. she sighs, giving him a rueful grin.]
We're not allowed to leave.
no subject
( which was kind of the actual intent. if only escape were so easy. )
So who said we're not allowed?
no subject
... A couple of us can go outside now, but not very far. Any farther than the tree and you pass out. [she says, clearly speaking from experience.]
no subject
Got it. So there's more of "us" then, huh? And all the others, they don't think there's anything wrong with this place...
That would be the students who were walking through the doors instead of, well, through them, right?
no subject
And then there's the grown ups, and who knows what they're all about. That's pretty much it.
no subject
( hm... okay, yeah, the way this is all adding up is kind of... )
That's all really helpful, thanks — ( wait, hold up, what's her name? ) — ah... Sorry, I didn't even ask your name. Mine's Rantarou Amami, it's nice to meet you.

You seem really proactive! I mean, you just woke up, right? And you're already looking for a way out.
no subject
( he's got masterminds to uncover, sisters to find... you know, the works. mind you that after talking to nene, he just might wish he wasn't so proactive so quickly after waking up. )
no subject
I've been here almost two months, now.
no subject
ok well good for her but amami's different. )
Even if I can't leave right away, I don't want to stay here any longer than I've got to. The sooner I start working towards getting out of this place, the sooner it will happen.
( that's the realistic answer, he guesses. )
no subject
So far, there's only one sure way to leave this place in any way. But, you wouldn't like it.
no subject
If you accept the way things are, of course they'll never change. There's no way I could be comfortable with just lying back and waiting.
( really... )

a kid like her should not be talking about corpses, never mind witnessing them, NEVER MIND STEALING THEM. WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT THE FUCK? )

I mean, we didn't make it ourselves. [but "anything to do" is a different story.]
no subject
Meanswell-san, is there anything else I should know about what "we" have been doing since graduation?
no subject
There's another dead body that's in the water supply. That's pretty important... Um... I don't know. There's probably other stuff, but I can't remember.
no subject
That's fine. I think this is enough for now... ( genuinely? he doesn't want there to be more. ) Thanks, I'll keep all of it in mind.
( and he kind of nods to himself. he's coping right now. )
I think... I'm gonna keep looking around, but I owe you one for this. If you ever need anything, you can let me know. Actually, please let me know if you do.
