THERE AINT NO PARTY LIKE A BLANKET FORT SLUMBER PARTY
Who: OPEN to anyone and everyone!
When: May 22nd (Saturday) after 6pm and the following morning
Where: Class 3-D
What: it's time to heal from all the chaos and murder with a blanket fort slumber party, hell yeah hell yeah
Sometime after school has fully closed for the day and everyone else has gone home, a sign is put up on the door to 3-D. In rounded letters and surrounded by drawings of flowers and a couple cartoon cats, it reads:
BLANKET FORT CONSTRUCTION ZONE
slumber party @ 8pm
all are welcome!
(rule breakers will be sent to JAIL)
... if you show up early, everything might still be in the process of being set up, but by 8pm most of the desks and chairs in the room have either been pushed to the sides or stacked strategically in the middle to form mighty fortress walls. These are, of course, topped with blankets for cover, because it wouldn't be a blanket fort without blankets. Blankets are a limited resource at the school, so it's recommended to bring your own if you don't want to share a fort with someone else. Or maybe just steal a big scrap of fabric from the art room. Close enough, right?
Aside from the obvious arrangements at the centre, there is an un-blanketed pair of desks set aside for snacks. Nene made cookies, and Clamor has put out a bowl of healthy nuts and fruit (as if anyone would actually take those over the cookies). For drinks, there are a few bottles of juice and one pot of (thoroughly filtered) tea and a few cups to use. A small folded sign at the table politely reads "Don't be greedy."
If you are greedy, or if you harass anyone else just trying to have a good time, you risk being sent to...gay baby jail™. It is, as always, a cardboard box situated in the farthest corner of the room, and guarded diligently by only the most fearsome of dads and buff teenagers. You have been warned.
There is also a second cardboard jail cell on the opposite corner of the room, which is not labelled (yet). The inside is absolutely covered in scratch marks, since it's the same box that was used to catch the cat earlier in the month... but now it's jail 2: jail harder. It is reserved for criminals who cannot be allowed to collaborate during jail time, and you know who you are, please just behave yourselves.
This is meant to be a slumber party, so eventually, an amount of slumber will be expected. Luckily it's the weekend, so everyone is welcome to sleep in for as long as they want... just don't sleep in too late, unless you want to get stuck helping with clean up.
((OOC: It's another mingle!!! Feel free to make your own toplevels and comment around, start some party games, bring some extra snacks, hijack Nene's nerf gun to lay siege to your neighbour's fort... w/e!
This is meant to be something of a break from the usual death and despair of murderschool, so please don't do any actual murders in this log that is literally the lowest bar i can ask of y'all. Put warnings in your threads as needed! General chaos is fine, but characters that cause too much of a disturbance will be manhandled and sent togay baby jail™. You have been warned... twice!!
ICly the fort construction and party is being arranged by Clamor, Noah, Sidney and Nene, but basically anyone who wants to pop in and help out is welcome to, and CR may have been asked to join/help out in advance. If you need an excuse for your character to come, someone else could've dragged them there to chill—just ask!
anyway that's all pls have fun, go nuts))

[ Nanami asks, actually she might want that hair done but she is too shy to ask but anyway she is here to say hello. ]
no subject
( kind of... cute? that everyone is coming together like this, and it's nice to be included too.
of course, he's still kind of on edge, because he's genre-aware and we all know what happens at dangan ronpa parties, but... )
Are you having fun, Nanami-san? It's a shame there aren't really many games around for you to play.
no subject
I saw you were doing hair before... Do you like doing that?
no subject
Like it? I guess it's pretty nice — a little bit nostalgic, actually.
no subject
Did you do it a lot for others before you came here?
no subject
( he considers the question for a long moment, though that easy smile stays plastered over his expression. )
Something like that, yeah. I've had some practice.
no subject
Oh.
[ She thinks for a minute. ]
If it makes you happy you can do mine sometime too. I've never had my hair done by someone else before.
no subject
but as for her hair, yeah. that's not a problem at all. )
That's too bad. If you want, I don't mind doing it for you now.
no subject
[ As if to say she cant do her own hair and tbh she probably cant do anything wild. Just brush it. ]
no subject
( he'll offer that up with a smile, not really concerned with much beyond the fact that... well, she seems sincerely excited about the opportunity. with a glance around them, he'll indicate an unoccupied, blanketed spot just outside one fort, gesturing towards it. )
Over there fine with you?
no subject
... I think its really handy that you can do things like this.
no subject
( but as long as she's all settled in, he'll pull the clip from her hair and start combing through it to make sure there's no tangles. )
But I guess I've come into situations where I'm glad that I can. ( now, for example. )
no subject
[ Decides to have this timed after that, gives the whole hair thing more meaning. ]
... Doing each others hair like this, it's a important and good way to show you care.
no subject
( komaeda... what is wrong with you...
still, she has a good point aside from that. )
Showing you care, huh? Yeah. I guess it is for something like that.
( as he starts separating her hair into pieces, folding them over one another with practiced efficiency. )
no subject
[ Was her answer to that, she seems a bit sleepy. ]
no subject
( there's more to intimacy than just touching — maybe something more along the lines of "taking care" of someone, or looking after them... thinking on that, though, it weighs his mood into something bittersweet, almost melancholy. so he'll leave it at her statement, focusing on what his hands are doing instead.
if she can hold out for just a few more minutes, it doesn't take him long to finish up. though the result is less formal, more simple and soft; he'll extend the offer again when they have more to work with. )
You still with me, Nanami-san?
no subject
...Cows.... Crystal turns to ...Cotton candy power.... No...
no subject
he'll look around for a few moments, then steal one of the thinner blankets off a nearby fort, draping it lightly over her before he gets up to head off. she'll see the hairstyle when she wakes up, for now it's goodnight, nanami-san. )
