THERE AINT NO PARTY LIKE A BLANKET FORT SLUMBER PARTY
Who: OPEN to anyone and everyone!
When: May 22nd (Saturday) after 6pm and the following morning
Where: Class 3-D
What: it's time to heal from all the chaos and murder with a blanket fort slumber party, hell yeah hell yeah
Sometime after school has fully closed for the day and everyone else has gone home, a sign is put up on the door to 3-D. In rounded letters and surrounded by drawings of flowers and a couple cartoon cats, it reads:
BLANKET FORT CONSTRUCTION ZONE
slumber party @ 8pm
all are welcome!
(rule breakers will be sent to JAIL)
... if you show up early, everything might still be in the process of being set up, but by 8pm most of the desks and chairs in the room have either been pushed to the sides or stacked strategically in the middle to form mighty fortress walls. These are, of course, topped with blankets for cover, because it wouldn't be a blanket fort without blankets. Blankets are a limited resource at the school, so it's recommended to bring your own if you don't want to share a fort with someone else. Or maybe just steal a big scrap of fabric from the art room. Close enough, right?
Aside from the obvious arrangements at the centre, there is an un-blanketed pair of desks set aside for snacks. Nene made cookies, and Clamor has put out a bowl of healthy nuts and fruit (as if anyone would actually take those over the cookies). For drinks, there are a few bottles of juice and one pot of (thoroughly filtered) tea and a few cups to use. A small folded sign at the table politely reads "Don't be greedy."
If you are greedy, or if you harass anyone else just trying to have a good time, you risk being sent to...gay baby jail™. It is, as always, a cardboard box situated in the farthest corner of the room, and guarded diligently by only the most fearsome of dads and buff teenagers. You have been warned.
There is also a second cardboard jail cell on the opposite corner of the room, which is not labelled (yet). The inside is absolutely covered in scratch marks, since it's the same box that was used to catch the cat earlier in the month... but now it's jail 2: jail harder. It is reserved for criminals who cannot be allowed to collaborate during jail time, and you know who you are, please just behave yourselves.
This is meant to be a slumber party, so eventually, an amount of slumber will be expected. Luckily it's the weekend, so everyone is welcome to sleep in for as long as they want... just don't sleep in too late, unless you want to get stuck helping with clean up.
((OOC: It's another mingle!!! Feel free to make your own toplevels and comment around, start some party games, bring some extra snacks, hijack Nene's nerf gun to lay siege to your neighbour's fort... w/e!
This is meant to be something of a break from the usual death and despair of murderschool, so please don't do any actual murders in this log that is literally the lowest bar i can ask of y'all. Put warnings in your threads as needed! General chaos is fine, but characters that cause too much of a disturbance will be manhandled and sent togay baby jail™. You have been warned... twice!!
ICly the fort construction and party is being arranged by Clamor, Noah, Sidney and Nene, but basically anyone who wants to pop in and help out is welcome to, and CR may have been asked to join/help out in advance. If you need an excuse for your character to come, someone else could've dragged them there to chill—just ask!
anyway that's all pls have fun, go nuts))

[ Why wouldn't it be? Especially since shes from japan, the idealisms of Westerner cultures enamor her especially since Cow Boys are used a lot in their games. ]
My name is Nanami Chiaki, I am from class 2-B and I really like playing games!
no subject
[ He doesn't reference his class because it's this one and also: no.]
What sorta games you play? [ this child clearly does not play five finger fillet ]
no subject
[ NOT THE KNIFE GAME, no thats Ouma. Listen she might play anything. Just nothing dangerous. ]

Poker. Blackjack. Dominoes.

I've only been able to play Poker with a computer! Never a person, I'd love to play if you want to sometime?
no subject
[ Okay so at first he assumes "computer" is an occupation but... wait doubletake.]
Computer?

[ Nanami wouldnt believe this man never touched a computer before - well maybe she might relate to it. Because she never touched a horse, so honestly. She can relate, she moves over to a table somewhere and looks at him expectantly! Pulls out a deck of cards from her bag, she is gamer ready. ]

[ Okay, Arthur didn’t think that was an immediate offer. But you know what? It ain’t like he’s got anything better to do. Arthur sits down at the table, coughing into his hand, before laying his arms down. He takes brief notice of the way she shuffles the deck.
Nothing too attentive, since she doesn’t look the type, but you get in the habit of seeing if someone is mucking with the deck if you mostly play with outlaws. ]

[ She's not attentive or crazy with cards. It's good he will pay attentiong because Ouma exists and he would switch the cards our like crazy. She gives them two cards each and Mun hasn't played poker in forever, but I rng'd what she got from this because its rp and this is for fun. I'll tell you she got 9 spades and 8 Spades - OK I LEGIT RNG THAT HOLY SHIT. I just did 1-4 for type and then 1-13 for card. I'm crying, maybe Komaeda's luck is rubbing off on her. She gives him his two cards too, you can pick/rng if you want! ]
I think small talk is good with poker right?
[ This card the jack of spades, is currently out. She places the deck on the table like that plop! ]

[ How does poker work??? How do cards work??? I sort of know but Arthur really knows, so bear with me here as well! Arthur gets absolute fucking garbage in the form of a 6 Spade and a 12 Club. He has an excellent pokerface so it doesn't show.
I think it's his go to Check so he is going to do that! ]
How long you been stuck here?
no subject
... Mm, only a few weeks. When I woke up, I had the laptop I mentioned earlier... And I immediately ran into a friend I knew from where I came from? I guess... The memories are weird - what about you?
[ 1 Jack of ♧, 1 King of ♡. ]

[ i'm crying. i just realized that the aforementioned 12 club doesn't exist and that correspondingly with the numbers (6 and 12) i rolled, arthur's hand should consist of 6 spade and a queen of clubs??? this is the current state of the table. this is how not good i am at cards. this also is why you don't do your tags at 3:15 am in the morning but i am going to continue to do so anyway. thanks for coming to my ted talk
Arthur stares at the cards as they're revealed. He coughs into his hand. Not bad from where he's standing, but he checks to avoid suspicion. ]
Check.
