THERE AINT NO PARTY LIKE A BLANKET FORT SLUMBER PARTY
Who: OPEN to anyone and everyone!
When: May 22nd (Saturday) after 6pm and the following morning
Where: Class 3-D
What: it's time to heal from all the chaos and murder with a blanket fort slumber party, hell yeah hell yeah
Sometime after school has fully closed for the day and everyone else has gone home, a sign is put up on the door to 3-D. In rounded letters and surrounded by drawings of flowers and a couple cartoon cats, it reads:
BLANKET FORT CONSTRUCTION ZONE
slumber party @ 8pm
all are welcome!
(rule breakers will be sent to JAIL)
... if you show up early, everything might still be in the process of being set up, but by 8pm most of the desks and chairs in the room have either been pushed to the sides or stacked strategically in the middle to form mighty fortress walls. These are, of course, topped with blankets for cover, because it wouldn't be a blanket fort without blankets. Blankets are a limited resource at the school, so it's recommended to bring your own if you don't want to share a fort with someone else. Or maybe just steal a big scrap of fabric from the art room. Close enough, right?
Aside from the obvious arrangements at the centre, there is an un-blanketed pair of desks set aside for snacks. Nene made cookies, and Clamor has put out a bowl of healthy nuts and fruit (as if anyone would actually take those over the cookies). For drinks, there are a few bottles of juice and one pot of (thoroughly filtered) tea and a few cups to use. A small folded sign at the table politely reads "Don't be greedy."
If you are greedy, or if you harass anyone else just trying to have a good time, you risk being sent to...gay baby jail™. It is, as always, a cardboard box situated in the farthest corner of the room, and guarded diligently by only the most fearsome of dads and buff teenagers. You have been warned.
There is also a second cardboard jail cell on the opposite corner of the room, which is not labelled (yet). The inside is absolutely covered in scratch marks, since it's the same box that was used to catch the cat earlier in the month... but now it's jail 2: jail harder. It is reserved for criminals who cannot be allowed to collaborate during jail time, and you know who you are, please just behave yourselves.
This is meant to be a slumber party, so eventually, an amount of slumber will be expected. Luckily it's the weekend, so everyone is welcome to sleep in for as long as they want... just don't sleep in too late, unless you want to get stuck helping with clean up.
((OOC: It's another mingle!!! Feel free to make your own toplevels and comment around, start some party games, bring some extra snacks, hijack Nene's nerf gun to lay siege to your neighbour's fort... w/e!
This is meant to be something of a break from the usual death and despair of murderschool, so please don't do any actual murders in this log that is literally the lowest bar i can ask of y'all. Put warnings in your threads as needed! General chaos is fine, but characters that cause too much of a disturbance will be manhandled and sent togay baby jail™. You have been warned... twice!!
ICly the fort construction and party is being arranged by Clamor, Noah, Sidney and Nene, but basically anyone who wants to pop in and help out is welcome to, and CR may have been asked to join/help out in advance. If you need an excuse for your character to come, someone else could've dragged them there to chill—just ask!
anyway that's all pls have fun, go nuts))

you know who the tool is and he aint here
Ah, I've had too much on my mind, Nanami-san. ( so no, he didn't collect one fucking fragment!! )
Trash like me couldn't compare to the fun everyone had here, but I had something... of that effect.
I MEANT TO SAY HIS HEART IN THE RIGHT PLACE THATS ALL MY WORDS MY BRAIn
Thats good Nagito-kun... [ Nanami's eyes light up a bit as she cants her head to the side. Still quizzical about what he said. ]
What is on your mind?
FUCK I FORGOT TO RESPOND BACK HELP not my brain buffering
I'm wondering about the hope of certain people, and whether it's crippling into despair.
( he turns to look at her, because she'd understand. ) That should be eliminated at all costs, right?

?
[ Do you think that.
She stares at him hard.
Eyes peering deep inside of him.
Looking at what he means to say about it.
As if hes looking to her to relate on something.
Nanami does not give it to him.
As alien as he may feel looking into her eyes, she feels looking into his. ]
I don't think you have the right to decide for others do you?
[ That was the statement and answer she gave Hinata, the meaning is no different. The answer is the same. She gives it to Komaeda this time. ]
no subject
( this is despair we're talking about, we cultivate hope, not whatever that is. alright, you sit there and let despair fester, komaeda will be making sure there is none of that. he may be an ex ultimate despair but listen. )
...
( maybe they are still different, and this is why he's insane. )
I can help them if they use me properly, but some have no idea how. ( he pauses, thinking. ) I was even told I wasn't sane, but I'm completely normal!

[ Yes bitch ape escape. ]
But you are trying to play a 1 player game as co-op, when its all one player -
[ 'I just think you should stop.' She cant say that. Those rules from before , it went against everything that she was and everything that made her as an entire being. To even say as much. The whole premise of her existence were to lead, and allow everyone on the island to make their own decisions. She just needed to observe. Taking actions against other peoples decisions was something she could not do, and her own voice seemed to suddenly cut short as she spoke. As if indictive of that. She reaches for the controller. ]

( he's not going to understand from game terms, because he takes this too seriously to be some sort of fantasy. instead, he hands over the controller, no longer willing to argue about it. she's always played on a mode he's never understood, but that's him valuing as her as hope more importantly, and though she has a point, he doesn't see it. old habits die hard, so komaeda keeps dying. )
I appreciate you letting me play, I'm sorry for bothering you so late in the night. ( it's not midnight, but it's late enough. )

[ Shes the one who feels hurt and not understood as well. When Hinata gripes at her and often gets angry at her, shes use to Komaeda filling in for when he is lost by her bewildering gestures. Or weird statements. It's fine, the two of them sitting here with their feelings, though she tried in an effort to compose her words in a way that he can understand. Discern. Look and read between the lines, but its that he didn't want to look. And that. She suffers alone - as always. Not even Usami is here to confined in her with. No SHSL housekeeper-sensei to try to work this problem with. Everything in her head she wasnt allowed to speak about stayed, and she felt the feeling of wanting to cry. Could not discern it, and ignored it instead. This is probably why she ends up making the Ai club or something.
Anyway ask what you came for hoe. Shell end up giving it to you 9/10 probably. ]

Nanami-san, may I borrow your PDA?
( i'm tearing up. )

I know youre doing this because you are going to figure something out, so I trust you.
[ Nanami says placing it in his hands. ]
I believe in you.
[ She keeps it there, try #2 is coming. Shes a dumbass, listen shes trying because he wont - well more like no one else will. She knows that feeling, having someone not understand you and give up as if to say youre not good enough. ]
Wanna make a promise?

with the pda in his hand, and one that he previously took from someone during this party — sorry amami, you'll be okay for the time being :) — komaeda pockets it as well. he's not trying to be shady or suspicious, but he just wants to learn something, you never know what it may unlock.
why is everyone trying to make a promise with him, hinata tried, and he managed to dodge that you know! not nanami after him now, which the corner of his mouth twitch up into a smile. )
What's wrong Nanami-san? What would you want me to promise?
no subject
Nanami wants to say, 'let me help you.' But you know shes an observer and not allowed to do that, so she says: ]
Don't do anything alone.
[ Hopefully that is good enough(its not probably), and goes back to play her games. ]
no subject
...
( don't do anything alone? hmmm... he stares at her, and he thinks about it. )
I'll see what I can do, as you know... not many people like to be around me.

Hajime-kun likes you.
[ Goes back to playing. ]

...
( he's staring at the floor. )
Have a good night's rest, Nanami-san.

Good night Nagito.
