Ah-!

[Ishimaru panics initially when he feels someone grabbing onto him from behind! He shifts his weight, preparing an attempt to flip the person in question - only to halt as he hears that voice. Very clearly. Right in his ear.]

K-Kawai-kun?!

( wow... can't believe ishimaru would do this to a little, defenseless girl... awful... )

Yup!! ( laughing, she jumps off of him and catches up to stand by his side instead, grinning. ) You're looking... still terrible, but a little less so!

( it's good to start with a compliment!! )

[He has truly become a monster!!

Feeling relieved that it's just her (but still with some apprehension because it is her-) he meets her with a weak smile.]

...Thank you. I suppose that is complimentary! And I... feel slightly less terrible, so it is also accurate of you to say that!

How are you on this... day? [It feels like it would be a lie to refer to it as a fine day.]

( he's probably the only person who'd take that as a compliment, honestly, but that's fine. )

Hehe, are you getting comfortable in the student council? You do seem like you fit right in there... ~ All these responsible students... couldn't be me!

It's not as comfortable as I would like it to be. [Considering what everyone had to do to get their positions.] But I am glad to be perceived in such a matter!

[He has a lot of work ahead of him, so he can't rest now that he's gotten this position. And Rika reminds him of one such concern.]

Yes, it is funny that you have that concern, as a matter of fact. It is one of the first issues that I am aiming to work on around here! I have heard that there are dorms in this school, but additional money will be needed to set them up. What we need is some kind of good old-fashioned fund raiser!

( oh... so he's already aware of it. good, that saves her some explaining. )

OMG, I totally came to owl-brows to discuss just that! That must mean it's fate, right?! ( she beams, sneaking her arm around his and clinging tight to his side. ) I talked with some people around school about what they'd like to do to raise funds for the dorms! And we've got a few ideas, but... owl-brows would have to approve them first, probably.

( she peeks at his face, grinning. )

So, how about it? Wanna hear 'em, or do you have stuff planned already?

[His eyes widen, and he smiles a little as she goes on.]

How serendipitous! If you've already discussed ideas with others, then that saves me some time. I have not yet formed any solid ideas of my own, so please... I will gladly hear out whatever ideas you may have!

( he's open to ideas, that's good! she squeezes his arm and smiles, as her list of... outlandish ideas that nobody else would come up with goes: )

Well, my first proposal is... a shirtless calendar!! Though, well, I guess for girls, it'd have to be a bikini calendar, but... I think it'd sell!! Moreover, I have a camera, so that's our equipment taken care of! Also, I know a girl who would buy the entire stock out if we included Senacchi in, so we'd be funded in no time!!

( yes, she's talking about chiaki, but just in case this doesn't fly: )

Another is... a host club and maid cafe! You know, we can merge the two, so everybody's got a job to take care of? We'd need help with the outfits, of course, but... I think it'd provide an unique experience for the students!! And we'd gather a lot of support for the dorms, too, since it'd involve a more... hands-on approach!

[Her first suggestion immediately turns him beet red!]

A-absolutely not!! A shirtless calendar is completely inappropriate and out of the question!

[He takes a moment to collect his breath.]

...But... a combined host club and maid cafe? That... that might be more acceptable, so long as it is done tastefully.

Aww, Marumaru! It's good money, I promise!! Chiakkin would totally buy the whole stock out, so it's not even an issue!!

( just trust her! )

... really?! Yay! ( she beams, grinning up at him. ) Of course, it's gonna be super tasteful, nothing out of line. ~ ( she's an angel, so how could you ever doubt her? ) Marumaru can approve the outfits himself, as well as oversee the event, so nothing bad will happen. Sounds fair?

Maru...maru... [He blinks as he processes that. He'll take it over Owl-brows, at least?!] That would be dirty money!! We cannot indulge such a thing!

[He breathes.]

...Especially given that this other idea is a more clear winner! I am glad that you are so cooperative. [He still worries on some level when Rika's involved, but the amount of control she's giving him is welcome.] That sounds quite fair. I will gladly approve of this terms, Kawai-kun!

How is that dirty money?! It's fairly earned!

( but, fine. since marumaru vetod the calendar, she thinks she's at least getting some upper hand in the maid cafe and host club idea. he seems to enjoy the fact that he'll have a say in everything, too; of course, as the co-organizer, she will make sure it's not too boring and strict, however. )

Yaaay! Thanks, Marumaru! It'll be super fun, promise!! ( she nods, enthused. ) I'll check who could possibly help us with costumes... and we'll need to prepare a room in advance... I can count on you to help out, right?

[He insists on that adamant objection. In any case, it seems that they have something relatively acceptable to settle on. Next to the shirtless calander, this idea seems relatively tame and acceptable. There has to be a name for this kind of tactic!]

Now this sounds good! Of course, I will gladly help you out with planning and organizing this event. I hope for a resounding success!

Okay!! Then, I'll start gathering people interested in helping, and Marumaru can handle the student council stuff... talk to Maya-chin, and stuff.

( she nods, resolutely. this will require some amount of preparation, but... well, she's ready to Kill a Man for a proper shower, so.
