[Lucifer is a demon and that means he's absolutely not scared of anything because he's a demon—

—but whatever the fuck this cardboard(?) thing that's roaming around the hallway is currently has him fluffed up like a very upset bird. (He is a very upset bird; it's just if you call him a bird he'll deny everything despite the fact he has a peacock motif and feathers and does dominance displays with his wings. Lucifer is a bird.)

He's not attacking the cardboard contraption, just staring at it with his wings raised and feathers ruffled, like he quite literally popped to demon form upon seeing this because what the fuck this school cannot possibly get any weirder.

Senku please save him, he's confused.]

[ He's just walking down the hallway, following after the roomba at the moment. He's staying behind a couple feet, but he ultimately wanted to test how it fared in bigger spaces than classrooms. Little did Senku know what he was about to see as he turned the corner.

It's Lucifer, all puffed out at the sight of a cardboard Oreck. Honestly, Senku's surprised for a moment, but then it turns into him actively holding back a laugh because nothing is funnier than seeing a big bird man terrified of a small vacuum.

He almost wants to mess with him a bit. ]

...You good there?

[Yes hello Senku he's absolutely fine he's good everything is fine—

The roomba scoots forward a bit and Lucifer's wings somehow puff up more.

Because it's fine. He's just scaring it off.]

I'm fine. Actually, I'm not sure what magic has enchanted this device, but as with everything else in this school I'm cautious about letting it roam around of its own free will. That's all.

[WHAT THE FUCK IS IT DOINNNNGGGG IT'S BUMPING INTO THE LOCKERS NOW SENKU FIX ITTTTT]

[ Senku notes how puffed up Lucifer gets each time the roomba moves, and he really shouldn't be as amused as he is, but he can't help it. ]

If you're not too careful, it might brandish a knife. I've seen them battle each other before, and the fights are brutal.

[ Ah yes, he remembers those times when he and his dad would square off a small space in their house and trick out their roombas to make them do battle. It was great. Senku won a lot of bets during that time.

The scientist eventually chuckles and gives up the ghost, though. ]

Actually, you don't really have to worry. [ He walks over to the roomba bumping into the lockers and picks it up like it's nothing, turning around to show it to Lucifer. ] It's just a makeshift cardboard roomba. They're like smaller, more portable, self-moving vacuum cleaners. I made it myself.

[ IT'S FINE LUCI, SEE??? ITS A HARMLESS LITTLE WHEELED CONTRAPTION IT'S FINEEEE ]

[Sometimes, the Avatar of Pride can be a little freaked out by a piece of fucking cardboard, as a treat.

Humans are fascinating creatures.

[Yes, he is blushing, and yes he is finally lowering his wings. Do not perceive him. Birds are easily frightened by unfamiliar objects.]

I had no idea you had self-moving vacuum cleaners. Are there any other strange appliances roaming the hallways that I should know about?

That's fair- and honestly, that's probably the same reaction I'd expect here. Roombas haven't been made yet as far as this place's timeline goes. They were originally created in 2002.

[ He sets it back down after a preemptive check to see if anything got stuck. ]

And as far as I know, there's no other mysterious appliances moving on their own.

I feel almost embarrassed. The year is 2021 where I come from, and I've never seen this... "roomba" device. What other curious devices do you humans have? And how, exactly, did you scrounge up the supplies to make this object?

[ It's hard not to chuckle, but hopefully he won't think any of Senku doing his classic little snicker. ]

Kehehe, we've got plenty of them! Depends on what kind of devices you're looking for. Do you know about drones?

And as for the roomba... I kind of went on a mad dash around the school and just scavenged for parts from different things. That was uh... Around the time I made a couple of gas masks for everyone too.

[ Ah yes... the time he popped off and didn't sleep for three days because of an energy drink. Good times. ]

[Ah yes, that time. Lucifer has heard stories of that time from the others who experienced Senku's caffeine-induced scientific escapades.]

Drones... I believe so. The Devildom has some technology that mirrors that of the human world, but some things are lost to us. There are certain appliances, for example... I only recently found out about ice cream makers, the ones you keep at home and store in a cabinet. I had no idea your kind had advanced so much.

[Because when he visits the human world on business trips, he doesn't go out of his way to look for household appliances, and he's usually babysitting Lord Diavolo and keeping the Prince from getting in trouble.]

We have many different foods as well. If I could get my hands on Quetzalcoatl brains, I wonder what they would taste like to you? They're Belphegor's — ah, that is, my youngest brother's — favourite.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, we've got a bunch of stuff- you've just gotta know where to look. But everyone's always coming up with new and inventive things; you never know what will be made next.

[ That's what he loves about humans so much. The ability to take what they think can only remain fantasy, and make it real. There will always be people who want to make the world that much better for everyone else. ]

Quetzalcoatl brains? Like the serpent? [ He knows of some myths and legends involving the deity; he didn't know people ate it??? Or that there was more there one allegedly?? Huh! ] Sounds interesting enough.

[Humans are fascinating. Lucifer's love for them has dwindled over the years, but they're still fascinating, and he doesn't exactly want to hurt them as many members of his kind do.]

Yes, like the serpent. They roam around the wild spaces in the Devildom. I'm not sure what sorts of foods humans eat, though I have heard some do eat the brains of certain animals?

[Why are you so morbid.]

Yeah, but it's more of a delicacy and less of a common thing. Humans do eat animals though- some of the most common are chicken, turkey, things like that. I should introduce you to some cooking shows when we escape this place.

...Well, when I sort out my world that is.

[ Unfortunately, Gordon Ramsay shows are a thing of the past back on Senku's Earth. But hey- nothing's stopping them from reviving the guy and greenlighting new shows when he starts his journey around the world! ]

Ah, I've had some human cuisine. My brother Beelzebub is rather fond of it, so sometimes I make trips to get it. The Devildom also tends to stock human-world fare when it can, given that the university we have accepts human exchange students nowadays.

[Diavolo wanted it ok.]

My brothers like to watch cooking shows, sometimes. Mostly Beelzebub, but then he'll try to eat the TV...

Ha, that's pretty cool. Think I could check out the university sometime?

[ A university in the Devildom... Sounds pretty interesting! Senku never gives up a chance to learn something new, and learning in such an unusual environment to him sounded exhilarating. ]

And I can't blame him. Some of those food items look really good. [ He's not the best chef in the world himself, but he can appreciate those kinds of shows. After all, food is a science. ]

I don't see why not. You would be a good exchange student. I think you'd get along rather well with Satan. He's the most scientific of any of us. Ah, and you might enjoy some of our more "out-there" classes, made for demonkind specifically. One such is a course on potion-making and hexes.

[ Oh, now you've done it, Lucifer. He's got that look on him. The kind of look that seemingly means he's up to no good like the gremlin he is. ]

Kekekeke... Potions and hexes, huh? Sounds exhilarating. [ He can't wait to see what it's like. It's basically magical chemistry! ]

Well... I always said I'm bound for Hell anyways. Apparently it's going to be much quicker than I anticipated.

[Lucifer, living with gremlins, who also vibes pretty hard with gremlins but only gremlins who have good intentions overall: This is fine.]

Let me see... there is a potion recipe for turning someone into a cat — which happened to Beel... there's one that can handcuff someone without the actual physical need for handcuffs...

[That one was funny, admittedly. Barbatos had been mad about it, and Lucifer found the fact that it happened at the time annoying, but also the man had needed the break from being the Prince's butler and so getting his wrists bound by sheer accident really was the way to do it.]

Hah, those sound great. [ Potions could do tons of things- anything you can think of, really! It reminds him of all the games he's played involving potions. Senku's definitely looking forward to his little adventure to the Devildom! ]

Think it's possible to make some health potions here? What with everything that goes on, we definitely could use some.

[ Plus it would take some of the pressure off of him to play nurse after school ends each day. ]

Hm... actually, I wonder about that. The problem is, we would need magical components.

[It's a good idea, but where Lucifer's magic is concerned, he's not entirely confident in his ability to heal someone.]

I myself am an expert in curses and hexes, so I wouldn't be able to enchant something to heal someone, though potion brewing if done right is child's play. I have noticed lately that items of mine have been showing up around the school, however. That's how I got my whip back. [OKAY THANKS LUCIFER THAT'S COOL.] Perhaps I'll come across the necessary magical ingredients by happenstance?

If nothing else, once my magic is back, [I laughed knowing that now that it's July it's back baybeeee] I can put a hex of stasis on someone. That would eliminate some of the risks of surgery, so come find me if you need to stitch up another case like Nao.

Huh... Interesting. I guess it’s just a matter of time before I find some of my stuff then, perhaps. [ ONE DAY SENKU I PROMISE— ] And let’s hope that we do find some components; if you make a list of things that might be found on Earth, I can keep an eye out for them. Let me know when you do manage to get your powers back, too, and I’ll keep that in mind if something does come up.
