[He doesn't look away from his work, apparently unconcerned with Lucifer's presence despite having his back turned and the gaping, bottomless void directly in front of him. It sure would be easy for someone to get rid of Add, huh.]

Want to see what's underneath. Where the empty space begins and ends, if there's another physical layer beneath this one...

[... and he is trying, but that only means so much when he's this physically pathetic. The first couple attempts were a bit easier since the boards had been eroded, but even against half-rotted plants he's struggling to yank them from... whatever it is they're attached to? nothing?? he is literally here to find out]

Okay no, he doesn't do this, nor does he consider this right now, because he's not fucking interested. Killing a kid seems like a waste anyway. Where's Hyde.]

Let's not risk setting fire to the school. Those of us who can't get out will likely suffocate or otherwise be burnt to death. [Beat.] If you want to go into the void, I can fly you through there. Last time I went, I didn't find much, but I'm willing to try again.

[Lucifer is extremely interested in this, see. It's in everyone's best interest if they figure out what the fuck's going on. If stopping the spread of this infinite void is possible, he feels like the solution will be found within it.]

He might be rolling his eyes at the first part about suffocation and burning to death... who knows, since his back is still to Lucifer. But the second, far more interesting part does grab his attention enough to make the boy turn around, at least half-way. He frowns seriously, looking Lucifer over.]

... Fly how, exactly?

Ah, my mistake.

[With that cocky sort of overconfidence that can only belong to the Avatar of Pride himself, Lucifer smirks, glows a very distinct purple colour, and shifts into his demon form right then and there because he's soooo cool and can do that. He even throws in an equally-as-cocky flutter of his wings.]

I thought something was missing. Does that answer your question?

[He raises an eyebrow, but otherwise doesn't seem very surprised about the transformation. He's met demons before. The feathers are a bit different, though...]

Hmm. Alright. And you can fly even in that space...? [there's gravity, he's figured out that much, but if flight is possible then that's interesting. Add stands, dusting off his clothes.] It's difficult to see how the threshold looks from all angles with my current limitations... I'd like to see it from underneath, and from behind, if this building exists in this space or is simply connected to it, and so on. If there's any change in gravitational force at certain distances that would also be useful information...

I flew with Crona through this space some time ago. As far as I could tell, there weren't changes in gravitational forces, but I suppose I might not have gone deep enough. It's horrifyingly silent in there, however.

[Lucifer hadn't wanted to go much deeper, mostly for safety concerns, especially for those of Crona who wanted to come with him into the voidtorium in the first place. He's not keen on getting anybody killed; they'll need strength in numbers to get out of this place, after all.

Anyway, this child absolutely does not talk like a child would. So that's... fun? Interesting? Lucifer commits that to memory, wonders briefly if Add might be older than even Luke is, doesn't ask, and then steals one glance into the looming void before he shrugs.]

I'll have to carry you, but I'll give you free reign of where we go. [Mostly. If Add wants Lucifer to do something absolutely stupid, it's a no.] Are those terms agreeable to you?

[He nods, clearly agreeable.]

The lowest possible altitude between this point and the source of "gravity" below us... I want to see what happens.

[Yeah, stupid, but Lucifer has the wings and so he's fine with it (slightly) for the time being. He's also probably had enough caffeine today to where he'll be up for the next 24 hours, so there's that. No risk of fatigue, high risk of death, let's fuckin' go.]

I'll see what I can do. You have a way of measuring this somehow, I presume?

[As if they won't feel gravitational changes, but perhaps it's something more gradual that needs to be quantified somehow? Lucifer isn't a scientist, that's not his job. He crouches down so that he can pick Add up though, no he's not asking, yes this is a bridal carry, but he's giving Add like half a second to answer before he yeets the two of them into the void.]

[... yeah, he's gonna fuss a bit about being carried that way. he knows he's lightweight—he'll struggle until his legs are free, settling for a one-armed carry with his arms on Lucifer's shoulder for support. he needs to be upright to see everything properly!!]

Confirmation of a threshold's existence is enough for now. There's no point in bringing tools if there's no change to detect, or if the change is obvious... [and, of course:] I'll be able to tell. I'm used to spaces like these.

[And into the void they go! Lucifer flaps his wings several times to get a slight lift before launch, that way they don't immediately start falling by the time they get in, because that's obviously how things work and we can ignore the fact that I didn't look up any bird science before writing this tag.

As Lucifer had stated, the void is eerily quiet, akin to that of the library. Lucifer immediately heads downward, being careful not to drop the luggage — er, Add.

Voidcrimes sure are fun. Please keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle (?) at all times, thank you.]
