[He's currently wearing the jacket and pulling at the hood to make sure it fits right (aka is oversized enough that he can practically hide in it if needed), so he sees Nene standing across from him when he pulls the hood back up from over his eyes.

... he's not embarrassed, exactly, but it does still feel kind of weird. He looks away after a moment of awkward blank staring, like he's not really sure how to respond to someone calling his outfit "cute".]

[He's still feeling a little blindsided by the unwanted compliments, but he clicks his tongue, turning away from her sharply before wrestling the hoodie back off. Still needs some adjustments to the sizing... it's easier to just ignore the things that bother him, so maybe she'll go away on her own if he just keeps doing his own thing.]

Of course it's sturdy. I don't settle for sub-par products. [too bad he also sucks at ignoring people] What do you want? I'm busy right now.

[He's also self-taught... or he learned it from being in a sweatshop from the x years he was a child slave, but uh. if anyone asks, he's self-taught, and he's not elaborating any further. He's had a lot of time to practice, though, so his needlework is pretty good even if the technique is probably odd.

( she's going to kill you with kindness until you give her a damn good reason not to, add, i'm sorry. with a little nod and a smile, she runs off, and add gets a few nice minutes of sollitude........ but only for a little while. on the bright side... the offering of KitKat is 100% safe!

otherwise, nene doesn't say much, instead just watching quietly and curiously- though she does at one point lean over a bit, as if trying to understand what his method offers. strength in the seams, maybe? )

[a damn good reason not to, huh... be careful what you ask for... but in the present, he has been appeased with a delicious chocolate bar offering, so he's not about to voice any complaints about her still sticking around. He grumbles something that might have been a "thanks", putting the snack aside for now (since working with sticky fingers would be gross).

He's managed to finish up the resizing work while she was gone, so now he's back to the ears again and adding some finishing touches. A bit of extra stitching for stability here and there, some fancy red trim along the edges... precision work like this isn't that far off from working with delicate, compact electronics, at least as far as keeping a steady hand goes, so this is one of those skills where his expertise gets to shine a little. Strength isn't really needed for these parts, though, so he's more concerned with making sure the ears stick up just right. He must achieve the perfect balance of size vs weight for big, not-too-floppy ears...

anyway that's a lot of words for "he just sits there in stubborn silence while Nene watches" but eventually he's finished so. now what.

He holds up his finished work, poking at one of the ears thoughtfully. Hmm.]

I'm not able to get a lot of fabric often, so I have to stick to small things like bags, or adding into stuff I've already got. I'd like to think my embroidery's pretty nice though! And I've been trying to make plushies?
