Oh, Sidney! [he was just in the middle of trying to put the food processor together when he hears the other man. he's got the blade in one hand and that funny looking lid piece in the other hand, and thankfully he hasn't remembered yet that electronics need to be plugged in. he's trying his best.]

I was hoping I could make it a surprise... but I guess it's alright. [even if he does seem a little disappointed... but instead Clamor turns that disappointment into pride, beaming back at Sidney] I found this recipe book, so I thought, hey, if no one else is cooking today, I can do that! Did you know someone came up with vegan cheese? It sounds ridiculous, but apparently it's just like normal cheese except it's made of cashews and soy... ah, but there were also some main courses in here that sound good! Sorry, I guess cheese isn't really a meal, is it?

[wolfetracks]

( oh god that is so many blades that he's handling so carelessly, clamor- clamor you are giving him a heart attack. stepping in fully, he almost sighs. the energy is so goddamn familiar. )

Let me help with that. ( but even as he gently takes the blade and the lid back, making a point of showing clamor how to safely put everything together, he listens- he only looks away because he's working with a sharp piece of a machine, which requires attention. after a moment, he chuckles. )

It's not, no, but I'm glad you're finding things that are good for you. What else caught your eye?

[there is one more tiny ooh of amazement as Sidney shows off how to correctly assemble a food processor... damn, he was putting it in upsidedown. he'll have to remember that trick for next time...]

Let me see... [retrieving the cookbook again, flipping through a few pages] There was... no, we don't have any jackfruit... maybe... oh, this one doesn't look that hard.

[he flips the book around so Sidney can see, just maybe don't read the huge letters in the title that say "for two", it's fine, they can just make more batches it's not like this is a date they're JUST making dinner (for EVERYONE) (or at least for Noah, he's not allowed to starve).]

It says it's good with cheese... so we could do both! I think we have all these ingredients, too. What do you think?

( 'for two'... no, no, don't read into it. it's not even clear if he's interested in men. or if this is even the time. but sidney can still look at the ingredients and hums thoughtfully. )
