[ The following half-cryptic message goes up in the early morning before class, at the exact same time as two people are let into the faculty office to talk to the Vice Principal. ]

Sorry. I should have told everyone a lot sooner.
I know that.
But... if I did that, there was a chance it might have become about the merit points. And no matter what, I wanted to prevent that at any cost.

The person who did it might have been wrong... but they're still an important friend that we lived with.
That's something that shouldn't be reduced to a number.
The fact that it can be is what's messed up in the first place.
So maybe I wanted it to be a message. Not only for that person, but for the rest of us too.

[ There's no further explanation that follows, and any comments, no matter how important, will obviously not be answered for at least a few hours, depending on how things settle. ]

It's a bright and sunny day. The heat is unbearable, with sunlight reflecting off the whites of the outer walls of the school building and seeming to concentrate right in the middle of the courtyard where it comes off the concrete in waves. In desperation for a breeze, you open a window— or perhaps you can't, and simply rattle the window latch futilely— when something large and black falls from the sky and smacks into the pavement, black turned red turned nausea and vertigo and the consequential darkness of the school when a blood sacrifice has been observed.

Black shadows students start to converge upon the body in the courtyard, although their efforts to drag the body into the expanding void in the auditorium can be thwarted by breaking a mirror and returning to reality— just in time to see a second body hit the pavement in the courtyard and send you right back. Escape once more and... a third body hits the ground, bright blue eyes staring lifelessly up at the sky above.

The sky stares back, dark storm clouds gathering in the horizon. Tonight, and through the weekend, it will rain.

✽ Please use the toplevels below for investigations. For some semblance of organization, there will be a separate toplevel for body investigation, location investigation, and suspect investigation, as well as one for general questions.
✽ As a reminder, npc students can open/close any window; pc students in classes with at least one rank (3-A, 3-B, 2-C, 2-D, 2-E, and all of the first year classes) can open/close windows in 1-B, 1-D, and 2-C; and pc students in classes that gained at least one rank in the past month (3-A, 2-C, 2-D, 2-E, 1-B, 1-D, and 1-E) can exit through the courtyard-facing window in 1-D.
✽ Unless there's an ic reason to argue otherwise, npc faculty will remove all three bodies by the end of the day.

- Cause of death: at first glance, the impact upon hitting the ground. There's bruising around the neck, bruising on the right hip, a broken right arm, swelling on the back of the head

- what happens if komaeda uses izumi's finger to swipe open the pda, does he find anything interesting if it unlocks? like his last messages, or any weird apps, you know the works, and also if he can get the code to his locker so he can open that later too.
- also, he wants to look in his mouth to see if anything's been lodged, so yeah he's digging around in it
- per alice's kind request bc liz is a maiden, and komaeda is a scoundrel, liz is going to request komaeda to kindly undress him to see... the full extent of his body for clues. :) the hot breeze must be good for bodies.

PDA: the last message shown is Shuichi's message mentioned in the log above (everybody's PDA will show the same forum messages) and there are no weird apps. He can see the code to Izumi's locker

he's only doing this to see if anyone responds immediately, mostly chiaki since he knows that she's obsessed, and is the first person he thinks when it comes to izumi.

While Komaeda's playing with the body, Liz is gonna take a closer look at his injuries! Let's start from the top... back of the head and the bruising around his neck, we'll go down from there.

The back of the head feels a little bit squishy, like the skull had broken, while the bruising around his neck is mostly wrapped around the front and sides. lmk if she's looking for anything more specific and what!

Hilariously this isn't the first time I've gotten to write the phrase "She pokes her fingers into a little brain"

but anyway, Elizabeth pokes her fingers into a little brain. Wrapped around front and sides tho... Does the bruising look like it came from anything in particular, like uhh... we don't have rope here so not that BUT LIKE, YOU KNOW, fabric stuff... does it have any definite shape i guess

i really super want to say last time was an accident and it was with team yzma and she Hated it... i feel like that's when it happened... i've also had other characters do this but in murdergames where it's socially acceptable to have a little brain juice on your fingers

anyways, yes, there are distinct lines that can be seen, rather than blurred together like a bunch of soft fabric, and it also isn't even all the way around which suggests he didn't have something wrapped uniformly around his neck that caused the bruising

How do the lines look... Distinct but like, are they like, thin lines with open spaces between them...

They are pretty thick with spaces in between! Like... finger-width...

Then let's check out the bruising on the hip, which is made infinitely easier now that he's naked, sorry Izumi. Does it look like it came from anything in particular?

It looks like a pretty extensive bruise that is very recent, from the hip to a little down his thigh. Either something large hit him there, or he hit something large.

He has 24 tally marks!

Noted! I think the last thing here isss the broken right arm then, let's check that out. Does it look like someone deliberately broke it or like it just happened to get .. broken... i feel like there's a different between these

I want to say something about the tally thing but that's for pc murderers to disclose

I can't tell the difference but maybe Liz has observed her Persona users getting beat up before they mediarama themselves and can tell that, with the extra injuries, it looks like Izumi might have broken it in the fall.
