It's time for another FAMILY MEETING!!

[There's a sign posted on 3-C on the 27th ~~the future is now~~ indicating that it's that time of month! That's right, it's time for the family meeting!

Lucifer is in charge this time and he is holding a whip, so please behave yourselves or you might get a warning crack near your head. Or don't behave yourselves. He's not your dad. He will, however, try his hardest to keep you all on track.

As Lucifer is also one of the Team ~~Moms~~ Dads, he's also made everybody lunch as he is wont to do. The rather fancy-looking food is set up on a couple of desks at the front of the classroom to peruse at your leisure. There are cookies and muffins as well, but please try to eat a real lunch instead of subsisting off of sweets entirely.

On the whiteboard, Lucifer has written the following topics & talking points that he'd like to discuss with everybody, and has requested that you all raise your hands so that this can be done in an orderly fashion... ~~Good luck, Luci.~~

Who is missing? Who is confirmed deceased?
The gladiatorial battle — is it possible that those who died previously may come back to inflict further harm? Any guesses?
What the Hell was going on last weekend?
The void in the auditorium is infinite
Results of last month's investigations that we agreed on doing
The imps plaguing the school have been removed (thank you to Clamor for his assistance)
Have we discovered anything new?

Last but not least, the final bullet is one hundred percent something that Lucifer clearly wants to do, and it reads simply:

Just... tell her your reason, okay? [she gives him a little smile.] I know you have one. Even if it's weird, we'll just go from there.

( big sigh... listen, he just doesn't want his luck to get her! there's some dread in his mind, but as long as he doesn't think of the positive outcome of someone being nice, or trying to be a friend... it can be avoidable. maybe he deserves his ass beat by shinobu. )

I don't want to point fingers, but Ouma-kun would know...

( the whereabouts of the finger because komaeda put it in his locker for his birthday, now where it went from there... he's not too sure. this probably isn't the information that stephanie is looking for, but it answers a few future questions if they have them. )

Why are you being such a dummy today... [clearly he's overdue for his daily hug. she will now close the gap between them and deliver it.]

( there's this budding hesitance from him, not too sure what to do, or how he should react. komaeda takes things in stride, but he's never been good at affection, and stephanie is aware of this. the concerns he has over watching someone being ripped to shreds before him is fresh in his mind, and it makes him wonder if she'll be next. akira isn't here to fix the problem if things go overboard, and he doesn't trust anyone here to actually make sure she's completely taken care of if she's harmed.

what can they do? what are they capable of? ah, he shouldn't downplay the hope of others, but stephanie's has been blossoming unlike a few. she's managed to keep a positive outlook despite the things that have happened. )

( he doesn't hug back because it's no good to have lingering attachments, so he lifts his arm slow to settle on her shoulder to squeeze gently. )

I'm making a smart choice for you, Meanswell-san.

Well, nobody makes choices for me but me, so I guess I'll just have to make a dumb one.

[looks up at him, a bit visibly confused at not getting a hug back, but smiling through it.] It's all gonna be okay, okay? Don't forget that.

You're very strong, and I don't want to be why you're not able to demonstrate your hope to the peers who need it most.

( if he wasn't worried, he'd hug her now just to make sure she's actually there. he can't bring himself to do so, but hearing her words makes him silent. )

You should promise yourself those same words, that... you'll be okay no matter what.

( his concerns? are basically that? will she be safe? )

[she cocks her head to the side.]

I'll be okay. No matter what. Promise.

[because she actually hasn't learned about not making promises you can't keep yet.]

I am patient.

[ Says Shinobu, who has definitely run out of patience. She’s trying to hide the fact with a smile, but it’s obviously not fooling anyone if she’s concerning Stephanie. ]

But what this young man has done is beyond reprehensible. I don’t think he deserves my patience.

... I agree, Nagito is someone who does a lot that is reprehensible. Though the same can be said for many of the people here.

[ She over heard the conversation and is listening, actually she agrees with him and is annoyed with Komaeda herself. Despite that she knows he probably took it to look for clues - the senselessness of his actions however. Have thus effected everyone, again Komaeda and his lack of reading the world around him. ]

Do you think you could get to him? Make him stop?

He tires himself out, eventually... [like he's a misbehaving toddler.]

[ Why else would a girl as sweet and well-meaning as Nanami stand up for someone (or something, because who’s to say he’s even human) like Nagito? ]

I’ll make sure he only suffers as much as he needs to, then.

[ Nanami's... Never met someone like this, she tries to condense who the individual is in a easy manner. Yet theres no answer for it in her mind - the other retains their equally unexpressive look toward her. The words coming out of their mouth seemingly calm and sure. As if she were speaking merely the truth and would in fact act on it.

However she spoke to Nanami still, and kept herself even and calm. In a matter of speaking Nanami thought the other was envious in a way. Surefire - as they would act out on their own decisions and not hold back upon it. This also made her worry all the more. ]

... He is a friend of mine... But I dont think we are as close as we use to be anymore, [ Were they even close? Did she have the right to say or think that.... She thought in some ways perhaps, then again that was her arguable innocence upon that regard. ] but he is friends with a lot of people here. No one will stop you from doing what you want to do, [ Because.... A lot of people want him dead - that much is obvious from the voices singing around them. ] but I think you can agree no one wants to see any one die anymore. [ Despite the grievances they all had, most of them are still under 18.... No one understands the weight of killing and how that will effect them in the long run. ] It would be better if we turned to talking to one another, instead of acting out what we individually want to believe is right.... I think?

[ It’s one thing for Nanami to call Nagito her friend, but Shinobu has a hard time believing that anybody else in the room sympathizes with him, too. What do Izumi’s friends think of him? Does he deserve their forgiveness? Does he deserve to live? ]

What we want to do and what we must do are two very different things, young lady.

[ They can’t have both. Shinobu smiles, but she’s not happy about it. ]

How do you propose we punish him for what he’s done?

[ It is true, want to do and what must be done, are two things often completely in opposite of one another. It is a blessing if two points like that align. Even so she says. ]

... What we want to do, and what we need to do - are also two things that are hard to separate from each other. When everyone is feeling how they do in the moment... [ Nanami frowns slightly, pinching a lock of hair between her finger tips thinking. ] Of course I know everyone wants to kill him, to kill both of them for what was done. Thats what they want, but it doesn't mean its the right thing to do, or what they actually really want to happen.

Everyone here wants their friend back, and for things to go back the way they are. They think by killing someone, it will fix the situation when deep down they know it wont... No one here should have to go through killing each other to solve a problem like this....

[ Punishment? Nanami cant think like that, she merely thinks that... ]

Helping them see the wrong of their actions.... What happened can never be undone, but it doesn't have to happen again.

This isn’t a matter of teaching somebody right from wrong.

[ Nagito isn’t stupid. He doesn’t need to be taught; he’s well aware of the fact that what he’s done is wrong. He just doesn’t care. Nanami shouldn’t be going to all this trouble when, to him, none of this matters.

Shinobu breathes out through her nose, long and drawn out, like she’s trying to push all her frustration out of her chest. She’s tired. Of him. Of all of this. ]

If he is allowed to do this again, you will be equally as responsible for what happens. Do you understand?
