FURTHER NOTES: Throughout the month Noah has an extremely obvious cut on his arm that has also torn the sleeve of his jacket. He keeps it bandaged but for the first week of the month it's extremely obviously there. People are free to approach him at any time about the injury and ask him questions, but be warned he will get extremely defensive and aggressive if pushed too much. Could make for some fun CR, idk.

[Yet, Noah thinks bitterly, because Hyde had to have friends somewhere in this place — even the most unhinged people have friends who love them — which likely means that someone will come after him eventually, once this gets out. Noah assumes it will, because even if he's not about to call everyone into a classroom and stand on the desk and announce that he had to kill Hyde to keep his own ass alive, he isn't going to lie and say he didn't do it.

He likes to think he's an honest sort, if defensive, and he's really trying to get better at not being so standoffish (because the last time he was so defensive back home he got his ass handed to him by a short dude with a scythe).]

I don't want to go see the nurse. I don't... I don't want to talk to anyone in that wing.

[He knows about the counselor, okay, he's heard Things about the counselor and he doesn't wanna talk to the guy. The nurse's office is right there and he doesn't want to talk to her either.

Also he just sort of outed himself as having stolen the gauze he's using from her office but it's fine.]

And... I'm not hungry.

[ Maybe Hyde has friends Noah but...you have friends too. People like Nene or Ouma aren't going to let anything happen to you. Maybe someone awful like Sara would even stick her neck out.

She reaches out for a second, and slowly enough that he could move out of the way if he really wanted, pats his head once before resting her hand on his hair. You make big sis Sara worried, talking like that. ]

You don't need to eat right away, but you'll feel bad if you don't... Back home, after the trials...I had a really hard time eating anything and everyone had to force me...but when you're in trouble you need to be able to think...I think...

[There's a long, long pause, and it seems like for a bit Noah's not going to say anything. His face is scrunched up like he's trying to process all of that, and then he settles on:]

Why do you care about me so much?

[Because he has to ask, because something in Noah's paranoid brain can't believe for even a few minutes that people might care about him, and if they do then they're clearly destined to die, right?]

...Because you're cute?

[ It's the first thing out of her mouth to say. Its actually a hard question and it sets off a bit of Sara's paranoia as well. Care about him, so much? Does he think this is symbolically pretty deep? Like Sara is trying to make him feel like he owes her or somethign? Is she doing that? Is Sara even doing that much? This feels...basic. Like, maybe she wanted to help him with his homework, because Clamor mentioned it, and he was nice enough and she liked helping him probably more then he enjoyed the help. Now he's hurt and alone in the bathroom and she's supposed to just...walk away?

That would just make her a awful person for no reason... ]

Er...Kidding. That's just something someone I used to know said whenever I asked him a question like that... [ She has no intention of dying, Noah. Don't worry about that, of all things. ] I'd like to work with people, when I can. And...we're friends right? So if I help you a bit when you're in trouble, thats just normal.
