I doubt you want to listen to me go on about the history of my world, it's too complex and with a lot of destruction for that matter. Following suit over every era.

[ Mona sighs wistfully. ]

Well, frankly. Maybe we can grow a few more of them, spider eating fiends. Truthfully, I was surprised to see such things crawling on the walls like that. [ She is thinking. ] They dont look edible like some of the ones in my realm.

( SHE'S CONCERNED? )

[ Did she say something weird? ]

W-Well I mean yes? The ... W-well of course it probably is weird to you. I mean, on MY WORLD. [ She tries to play it off. ] There are these trees Irminsul exploration is an important part of Hexenzirkel culture. So the trees that burry deep in the roots of these domains often house interesting specimen - whether used in alchemy or otherwise. S-some of these erm.... Specimen make for a tasty meal and sometimes, you eat what it is you get.

[ SHES PANICKING. ]

after a moment, nene takes a watering can out from the little tool shelf to sprinkle everything with water for a moment, and then puts it back. then, she takes mona by the wrist and drags her out of the room. )

We, are getting you real, not spider food.

[ Okay well she is making a face and with a slight little, "O-Oh." Mona attempts to gather herself together when they enter the Hall way. ]

I am NOT!! Eating spiders right now! [ Mona says it low toward Nene leaning over. Why is this such a big ordeal? She is so embarrassed and tugged along. ] I had a very nice salad the other day I will let you know. In fact that is exactly all that I eat. I eat VERY well okay? [ NO SHE DOESNT. ]

nene on a mission... what will she do

( NOPE, SORRY MONA, SHE'S NOT LETTING UP, she's going to lead her directly to the home ec room and sit her down on the other side of the counter before going through different cabinets and the fridge. )

We've got some rice, and fish... where's some veggies...

I suppose, if you insist. I will allow it after all, it would be rude of me to turn away such darling help. Thank you of course. Perhaps I can return the favor in turn.

[ Mona settles neatly on her chair now, watching the other drum about the area. She knows this place has been in use with the robotics club and is happy to see the area alive.... And not barren or estrange. ]

I enjoy mushrooms, but lettuce, tomatoes, anything of the sort. I make a mean salad myself truthfully.

Okay. I can work with that.

( she doesn't say that mona doesn't have to repay this- that having something to do, someone to care for, anything to think about that isn't loss and hurt and horror is all that she needs. mona will figure it out herself just by watching her in the halls when she doesn't have anything like that, when hanako has to help her not walk into walls and doorframes.

instead, she just looks for a few more ingredients, and then she gets to work. the rice cooker's on, she has her knives and cutting boards. it shouldn't be too long. )

... You take care of others often don't you?

[ Mona observes idly, and maybe currently looking through her Astrology notes. Taking whim of Nene and her birthday that is avaible on the boards in their classrooms. ]

Mhm.

( it's one of the few things she can do without fail- her sight is borderline useless and her own hangups have made her more of a hinderance than anything, lately... she has to be better than that.

she will be better than that. )

If I have the skills... and the desire, why not? Y'know?

It seems almost as if it is a need, one that I can share and understand. I use to have a teacher who failed at taking care of themselves, it was pitiful honestly.

[ Her last sentence was said with some harshness to it, despite starting out fondly. ]

The woman was horrible at feeding herself, and if it wasn't for me I am sure she would be lost in how to shop for sales for that matter. That said, it takes a kind heart to put the time and effort into wanting to take care of others. Not something just anyone is capable of doing, you have my thanks and I will return the favor to you one day. It is the least that I can do.

... I know it's supposed to be a compliment. But I want to believe anyone would do this sort of thing- even if... it's not quite the truth. It's only natural to me.

( she doesn't waver as she cooks, though. just... tries to swallow a piece of discarded innocence, the sort that comes with cruel awakenings to the reality of the world, with meeting people who don't care...

what a blessed life she'd lived up ntil now. )

I've been around the world - at least my own and even my memories of this world can tell me otherwise. It isn't something just anyone would do, but the fact that people like you exist and do as much. Make the world a far better place, you have my thanks for reminding me of an old memory too. It was because of another persons kindness long ago, I started to realize my studies had to be more different if I planned to understand the universe.

[ Mona leans over the table, her body weight pressing down on it as she lines her forearms against its surface. ]

Paying it forward..? I'll do something then about that.

I think if it's to understand the universe, they'd have to change constantly- because nothing in this world is still, and there's so much that changes how other things change too.

( but it's said more thoughtfully- there's no discouragement or anything of the sort, just... quiet consideration while she tends to the food in the pan. )

Mhm. It's important to spread kindness... especially in a place like this.
