The Elevator. | 07/11-07/17 | Open.

[ He stands at the opening of the elevator, not yet crossing the threshold. He's vaguely heard tell of stories surrounding it, besides what happened to Chihiro, of course. He hears of people going in and coming out of it, tears streaking down their face, having seen something horrible and tragic from what remains of their world.

Naturally, he doesn't believe for a second what he's about to see, but he was curious. He wanted to test this out for himself. He already knows what could possibly be waiting for him down there. However, it seemed his luck in using it by himself had come to a close, as someone was approaching. ]

I will warn you; I am not using the elevator merely for its regular function. I suggest you take it before I do.

[Angel can hear his voice, but thanks to her flour baby, she can't see him.]

Hon, I can't see any elevator right now. My eyesight's gone bad - if you wanna take it, you go ahead.

... What are you taking it for?

[ OH NO ANGEL... He'll kneel down to her level a bit so he can be a bit more quiet. ]

There are rumors of a certain button that takes you back from whence you arrived; however, it is not as it was previously. People only see... tragic events. I've decided to test this.

[ Is it the worst idea, to willingly see a bad end version of your world? Probably. But he's got like 5 different protection sigils on him and he feels secure in his own ability to fight and control his emotions. He's afraid of very little at the moment. ]

You may accompany me if you like, but in your state, I don't think it would be for the best.

[ He says this but also he kind of would like the support. But he's not saying this out loud. ]

Well, if there's something tragic waiting, I can't see it. I can go with you if you want.

[Not like she can't handle a little tragedy anyway. What would she see anyway? Her owners dumping her?]

[ Minato wasn't exactly waiting for the elevator— he's climbed more than his share of stairs in his lifetime, but he never minds taking them— but he sees somebody there and he shuffles up to Gundham and nods his understanding because he rarely uses elevators for their regular functions either.

Gundham looks like the sort of person who could make demon summoning a thing. Minato looks a little hopeful at that. ]

It'll get to where it needs to go eventually... so let's take it together.

...Very well.

[ The Ultimate presses the button on the outside again, hearing the ding as the doors slide open. He steps in, and then moves aside, trying to keep a decent amount of room away from Minato as he enters. (He's still not good at much human contact; thank goodness it was only the two of them.)

Once they're both situated, Gundham's hand carefully reaches out, prays that his protections spells keep them both safe as he pauses for a moment, and then he presses the red button.

The doors close, and after a few moments, the elevator plummets. ]

[ Oh, that's not a feeling that he likes, the freefall with his feet planted firmly on the ground. Instinctively, he widens his stance, letting his knees bend so they don't shatter upon impact, and he's quiet for the full minute that they descend until the elevator car starts to slow to a stop.

There's a ding, and the door slides open, a furry little shape dragging itself towards them, ten feet away, nine... nine feet and it stops moving, collapsing on the ground.
