Hey there! Emi here with a catch-all, for everyone's favorite King of Science! Feel free to toss your own wildcard starters here should you feel like conversing with Senku, or, if you'd rather want to plot, please don't hesitate to hit me up so we can hash things out beforehand! My plurk isspooksville! You can also feel free to DM me on discord or through Senku's DW!!
Game Club - 07/06 | open.
You want a turn? I'm almost done with this level. [ He looked over towards who had approached him for a moment, before his eyes flickered back over to the screen. ]

Um... s-sure, but... I've never played this game. We don't have these where I come from.

You move Mario with this joystick, you move the view around with the other one, and this button is the jump! There's a couple other things, but I'll let you take a shot at it and see what happens.

Noah is trying his best here and he just assumes that Mario is the red dude he's playing and runs around confused for quite a while trying to learn the controls, and also he will not stop jumping. This has hilarious consequences when he miscalculates and yeets himself off a cliff.]
You guys just get these games — oh there I go again — these game things where you all come from, huh? I'd probably have wasted my entire childhood on video games if we had them.
[Ngl Elrios kinda sucks.]

Senku can't help but to chuckle as he watches Noah pilot Mario off the side of a cliff. It's all part of trial and error after all! But he will help Noah out when he needs it. ]
Heh, yeah. Earth has a knack for inventing entertaining things that eat up your time. A good chunk of us would be bored out of our minds otherwise. [ They don't have much in the way of superpowers or magic abilities on his Earth. (Well, as far as Senku knows at least.) So humans had to pass the time somehow. ]
There's all kinds of games too! You've got adventure games, comedy games, action, horror- a whole bunch really.
no subject
[That seems to get Noah's interest.]
Can games like this really be scary? ...Do people actually enjoy scaring themselves?
[The answer is yes, and Noah is obviously one of those kids who would have grown up doing it, honestly. Anyway, despite his disbelief, he's definitely interested in that as a genre. The chomps simply aren't scaring him, see, and he's gotten fairly good at avoiding them.]
no subject
[ Though, he is picking up the sense that Noah's interested in those types of games from his reaction. ]
If any pop up around here, I'll definitely let you know.
robotics club room.
the plastic...device that she was given is on a table, set aside for now. beyond the vague vibration it gives her when it touches a certain place, and the way it beeps by the snack machine, she has no clue what she's supposed to do with it. it's odd, but for now, she'll keep it.
but hearing someone open the door piques her interest more than plastic and glass.]

As he hoists his bag up more on his shoulder, he enters the workshop a bit early. He always liked being there in advance and taking things out early to work on. It gave him some quiet time to focus before everyone else piled in. However, he found someone there even earlier than him, checking out one of the computers. Senku calls to the other. ]
Oh, hey there! You new to the Robotics Club?
no subject
The Robotics Club? Sorry, but I'm not a mechanic of any sort.
[she smiles apologetically, considering and coming up with the understanding. this must be their club space, considering that he's coming in and asking, and that by now she remembers enough about club spaces.]
I was just curious what was in this room.
no subject
[ It seems as if there were still more people "waking up" in this place; interesting. ]
We're currently in the Workshop! This is where you go mostly for woodworking and such. There's not a lot of heavy duty tools here - for good reason - but we make do, especially in the club.
no subject
[stepping back from the table, she goes more towards the direction of the door, closer to him - and away from messing with too much.]
I don't do too well when it comes to potentially sharp objects, and all I've read about woodworking suggests you need many of those.
no subject
[ Of course, take into account it's a bunch of high schoolers, and that may not be the case each time. Thankfully this time it was tidy enough from what he could tell. ]
I'm Senku, by the way! Nice to meet you.
no subject
[one name for one name, two for two. that's the measure she's working with.]
Well, I don't want to get in the way of your club meeting, intriguing as the subject is - hopefully we can talk again outside of it.
[and as she takes more steps towards the door, there's something very out of place on the table she had been near - her PDA, being left behind.]
no subject
[ He smiles back as she starts to make her way out before turning back into the room and setting his bag down. That’s when he perks up and sees the PDA resting there out in the open. Going over to pick it up, he turns and calls back out to Helena, walking in her direction to catch up with her. ]
Oh, is this your PDA? I think you almost forgot it.
no subject
[turning around, she holds out her hand for Senku to place the device into, but pauses with a thought.]
Would you say you're quite good with machines, Mr. Senku? This device included?
no subject
Oh, yeah! I'm pretty handy at troubleshooting. Is there something up with your PDA you need checked out?
no subject
Is there a button you can press to have it speak to me? A setting that will tell me what it's saying or what I'm touching? I tried to do that earlier, but without any hints, it got a little frustrating to deal with.
[an understatement, and she had made literal laps around one of the floors to work her irritation out, but at least now she can talk about it calmly.]
i care helena so much
[ He's also already trying to figure out how to incorporate braille into things too. ]
If you want, I can hold onto the PDA for now and get it back to you as soon as I can. You're more than welcome to sit in on the process too.
i care senku
That would be amazing! And to be able to sit in and see how it's going and understand it at that deeper level, it'd be fantastic!
[while she didn't have the knowledge of some of her friends - she remembers Tracy practically bursting with information about her robot - there was some of it that she understood from needing to decode and concentrate on what works. plus, simply learning gave her joy.]
I don't even know what I could do to thank you for that, but I'm sure I'll manage to think of something!
