August Event
Please let August be better than July I'm begging
✽ Due to 10+ classes raising their ranks last month, ALL characters have access to the courtyard via the door in the locker area and the windows facing the courtyard.
✽ Characters with 1-10 tallies are not able to get any further past the end of the courtyard before they fall unconscious; characters with 10-20 can get halfway to the pool building before the same happens to them; characters with 20+ tallies can reach the pool building but unfortunately, the door is on the other side. There are no windows on the walls, but from the clocktower, characters can see that it has a glass ceiling, though they are unable to see inside.
✽ Outside, there is no breeze, and it occasionally rains ash.
✽ Characters going up to the 4th floor will feel that the door is warm to the touch, and will occasionally open (see: missions)
✽ The student store opens, with the door propped open with a doorstopper. The npc running the storeis currently not interested in conversation, but may be available for threading in the future and is available for threading in the toplevel below. Please see the updated bonus activity page for more information.
✽ Posted on the bulletin board and also handed to each club president before break is the notice that proof of club activity is due at the end of break. Please submit these proofs in the toplevel below.
✽ There is another ad on the bulletin board advertising an exchange student program for the month of October. Applications will be taken until the end of August, and there is a 300 merit point fee. Sister cities include Death City, Devildom, Ishigami Village, Lanling, LazyTown, and Maiami City.

( well. that's odd. in june she could go into the courtyard, if only through the window, and then in july she couldn't at all. and now, because it's nene yashiro and she doesn't just let things sit, she's tried again, and... she can go through again.

despite this probably being a good thing, or at least some progress somehow, you might catch nene pouting with some frustration. )

ii. courtyard
( once, early on, she enjoyed resting under the wisteria tree. even when she knew something was... definitely up with it- she had hoped the hitodama were more... aesthetic than the truth- she'd even had a nap under it, with shuichi. they'd leaned on each other with their work in their laps and everything was ... at least a little bit kinder back then.
now, standing under the tree, she knows the truth. she's so lost in thought, however, that she doesn't hear anyone approach and jolts when a hand touches her shoulder- )
AAH-- o-oh- um- I'm sorry, I wasn't... Did you need something?

iii. clocktower
( for someone who's running out of time, nene sure does spend a lot of time in the clock tower. it's... no where in this school is safe from having been a murder scene. at least she can see beyond the school on some level here, at least there's a noise in the air keeping her grounded. but one day, as she goes to stare out the window, she notices something falling from the sky- )

iv. bulletin board
( this is a trap. this is most definitely a trap. there's no way the school would let them leave so easily. even staring intently doesn't make the flier go away or reveal it's true colors however, and some of the names... are familiar. what the hell. )

( and she's tired of that. don't get her wrong, she's happy to be able to touch some grass again, holy shit. and she likes the courtyard, really- she can see the faint remains of the origami flowers she'd given to kazuki-san in the bushes as they leave the building. it's hot and stifling but it's freer than a classroom on all levels. even with the wisteria tree looming above, tall as it is. )

she's right though. still, if they can be free for a bit... absolutely no one can judge her for just flopping backwards onto the grass, legs in the air for a split second before they fall too. she's tired. she wants to touch grass. she wants to close her eyes and wake up in her real garden. )
It's just... I feel like I can't truly enjoy any good thing that comes our way because it gets taken again, or because it's coming with a price none of us can see until it's too late. And I hate thinking like that. It suuuuucks!

I've aaaaalways wanted to go to an island. I think it'd be super fun! Or like, anywhere actually~. I even like traveling around Japan! I'm gonna tour the whole world someday with the rest of Trickstar, so we'll get there someday, but I haven't really thought of like, cities the way you have, Nene~.
