August Event
Please let August be better than July I'm begging
✽ Due to 10+ classes raising their ranks last month, ALL characters have access to the courtyard via the door in the locker area and the windows facing the courtyard.
✽ Characters with 1-10 tallies are not able to get any further past the end of the courtyard before they fall unconscious; characters with 10-20 can get halfway to the pool building before the same happens to them; characters with 20+ tallies can reach the pool building but unfortunately, the door is on the other side. There are no windows on the walls, but from the clocktower, characters can see that it has a glass ceiling, though they are unable to see inside.
✽ Outside, there is no breeze, and it occasionally rains ash.
✽ Characters going up to the 4th floor will feel that the door is warm to the touch, and will occasionally open (see: missions)
✽ The student store opens, with the door propped open with a doorstopper. The npc running the storeis currently not interested in conversation, but may be available for threading in the future and is available for threading in the toplevel below. Please see the updated bonus activity page for more information.
✽ Posted on the bulletin board and also handed to each club president before break is the notice that proof of club activity is due at the end of break. Please submit these proofs in the toplevel below.
✽ There is another ad on the bulletin board advertising an exchange student program for the month of October. Applications will be taken until the end of August, and there is a 300 merit point fee. Sister cities include Death City, Devildom, Ishigami Village, Lanling, LazyTown, and Maiami City.

[ Her first thought had been to greet him the same way he just did... but after the shock factor quickly wore off, she remembered that this was a stranger. ]

[ That's... newest student, because Akira can't answer anything like a normal person. Even in contrast to her shock he's surprisingly calm beyond the initial reaction - straightening his posture, pushing up the bridge of his glasses matter of factly. He's teasing - sorry Yuzu, he should be more honest with you given that he's the intruder here. ]
It's Akira. Kurusu Akira. You must have been going here for a while, huh?
[ After an introduction like that, there's no use of him trying to get around her pretending to be a normal student... but he still doesn't really understand what's going on here, figures he should try to get along with everyone and piece it together in the process. ]

Yes, like nya.Anyway he's still straight faced as ever, mostly because her reaction is good... but he seems to draw a bit more serious at the question (not that he didn't seem serious before, leave it to Akira to deliver lines like that without blinking), tucking a few loose strands of hair behind his ear as he replies. ]Mm... I just woke up in class, so it seems so. I guess there's a lot of us in the same boat.
[ From his hair, his hand moves to rub the back of his neck - looks a lot more comfortable now that he's connecting with another person, no need to sneak around. ]
You must be far from home too, then?
[ Not that he knows where 'this' is, so who knows how far it really is... ]

[ Yup, they certainly are in the same boat... and it certainly doesn't help that Yuzu doesn't have much in the way of answers either. She hasn't done much here yet since she was mostly in a panicked state the entire time until now. ]

[ Shock factor is over, both for the cat-themed introductions and the stranger in the same empty room as her. ]

[ Right. He doesn't actually have a good excuse, he was being shady as hell and just trying to break into as many places as possible. He was looking for answers, and maybe a sensible person could have explained that, but he doesn't completely know what he can trust yet. So an on the fly answer it is. ]

[ So. Maybe not a total lie, he does... kind of have a cat and... he would like to meet up with him again. It's the best he can come up with on the spot as his eyes dart around the room that gives him nothing good to use. ]
I haven't seen him since I got here, and I was worried... he might be hungry.
[ At least he has the serious kind of face to sound like an honest man. Even if he's lying through his teeth. Sorry Yuzu. ]
