August Event
Please let August be better than July I'm begging
✽ Due to 10+ classes raising their ranks last month, ALL characters have access to the courtyard via the door in the locker area and the windows facing the courtyard.
✽ Characters with 1-10 tallies are not able to get any further past the end of the courtyard before they fall unconscious; characters with 10-20 can get halfway to the pool building before the same happens to them; characters with 20+ tallies can reach the pool building but unfortunately, the door is on the other side. There are no windows on the walls, but from the clocktower, characters can see that it has a glass ceiling, though they are unable to see inside.
✽ Outside, there is no breeze, and it occasionally rains ash.
✽ Characters going up to the 4th floor will feel that the door is warm to the touch, and will occasionally open (see: missions)
✽ The student store opens, with the door propped open with a doorstopper. The npc running the storeis currently not interested in conversation, but may be available for threading in the future and is available for threading in the toplevel below. Please see the updated bonus activity page for more information.
✽ Posted on the bulletin board and also handed to each club president before break is the notice that proof of club activity is due at the end of break. Please submit these proofs in the toplevel below.
✽ There is another ad on the bulletin board advertising an exchange student program for the month of October. Applications will be taken until the end of August, and there is a 300 merit point fee. Sister cities include Death City, Devildom, Ishigami Village, Lanling, LazyTown, and Maiami City.

Keheh. This school's got a sense of humor, that's for sure.
[ A twisted sense of humor. Senku's eyes betray him a bit, as they flicker between Komaeda and the board every once in a while. He is definitely in a mix of emotions right now. Relief, disbelief, fear of what could be happening back in the village.
Back in his home.
He's not going to let this place get the chance to sink its teeth into him. Senku finds ways to get out of the toughest situations against all odds, and he's going to do that for as long as he can. Even if it means walking into the lions den. And he'll smile all the way through, just to tick off the powers that be. ]
See any places you're interested in going to?

Not really, I wasn't until...
( he lifts a hand, his index finger tapping the village's name to point it out among the others that he could mention. )
You started breaking down physically, hey... what's brought you to feel fear, or is that excitement? Hope...? Whatever it is, won't you let me witness it?
( digging into his pocket, he pulls out his pda to check how many points he has on him, and if it's enough to make the deposit, it should be, but he feels like he has the answers to all his questions right next to him already. his expression is innocent, as if he's waiting for the other's answer before deciding his fate. )

...Well, there are a bunch of variables. For one, that's my Village. I didn't grow up there, but I'm the chief of Ishigami Village- I've lived there for years now and created a Kingdom of Science. What I'm wondering is how a world like this managed to drag such a location from the 3700's into the 1990's. Needless to say, I'm a bit concerned.
[ On one hand, he'd be excited at there being a chance of going home, but at the same time he didn't know what would be waiting for him when he got there. Pure chaos? His Kingdom of Science was tough- they're not going down without a fight. However, Komaeda once again pulled him out of his thoughts when he pulled out his PDA. Was... was he really thinking about going with him? ]
...Kehe. You're serious?
[ He thinks about it for a moment. If Komaeda goes with him, it means he's not the only one that's going to go through whatever trials may be thrown at him; he'll have backup if anything goes wrong. But that brings up the question of... ]
...If I agree to this, can I trust you to not cause any trouble and back me up if things go wrong?

Improbable, but not impossible... depending on the timeframe, half of us haven't been born, or are still young. Especially if you're here, who's to say your home wouldn't appear?
( there's too many time discrepancies here, one that komaeda has been thinking about since rika received her phone, and when he found mahiru's camera, there were two years of white cat pictures within it. besides, everyone can tell they come from different universes, but it says a lot if they're all on the same plane of existence. these homes visible for more than one person, what could the outside world be like... well, komaeda has no actual home, that's been ate away by despair.
as the other contemplates, komaeda continues flipping through his pda until he hears their voice again. he look sup from the pad, sickly, pale green eyes watching the other as he tries to decipher their request. komaeda as... back up? are they asking him to help them? provide where he can? would things go wrong? saying such things makes komaeda stare, as if he doesn't know who the man before him really is. it's hard to reply considering the fact that his luck will do anything at any given time, trouble can be caused without him doing a thing — blame would be instant, senku will probably have more of a reason to hate komaeda. )
...Are you really asking me something like that? ( he pauses, looking off to the side with a small sigh to resign to his fate. ) No matter what happens, you know who to place the blame on. ( he turns back to face the other with a smile, one that no one can tell is fake or genuine, whatever it is, it'll never reach his eyes. ) If you're fine with those conditions.

[ At Komaeda's next reply, however, the scientist can't help but to laugh at that. ]
Haaaa, clearly you haven't seen my own string of bad luck happen. Listen, I'm not going to hold it against you if anything drastic happens- I may be an optimist but I'm not stupid. Whatever happens will be this places' fault.
[ Senku shrugs. He's fully aware of what he could get himself into by going back to Ishigami Village when it's connected to a place like this. He just wants to see if he can do anything about it. ]
It's just our job to roll with the punches and figure out what needs fixing. If mistakes happen, then we try something else. I'm not going to place the blame on you. I'm just asking that whatever happens, we back each other up. There's strength in numbers, after all. If we do have to come back here, I'd rather we both do it in one piece.
If you're fine with these conditions, then I'm fine with you going.

I'm fine with them... they're pretty simple.
( but that doesn't mean he promises to follow them accordingly, what does stand out though is these are requirements he follows anyway for the sake of the hope of others. there is strength in numbers as they all work together, it would make things easier for them just in case that place is against them. whatever twisted concept of ishigami village will be shown to them will be a surprise, so they should be ready for anything. )
Ahaha, never thought a chief would give me permission for something they can't control. ( he doesn't mean to make a jab at them, but isn't it funny, at least they'll be able to see how much senku's words affects them. ) Will you be fine when that time comes, though, it seems you had a moment of concern... but anyone is like that about their home, I guess.
( his home, however, is literally nothing to go back to, but senku has a title of importance there. he notices that there's no way to sign up here, so he's stuffing his pda back into his pocket. ) I can't wait to see your bad luck, Ishigami-kun.
