August Event
Please let August be better than July I'm begging
✽ Due to 10+ classes raising their ranks last month, ALL characters have access to the courtyard via the door in the locker area and the windows facing the courtyard.
✽ Characters with 1-10 tallies are not able to get any further past the end of the courtyard before they fall unconscious; characters with 10-20 can get halfway to the pool building before the same happens to them; characters with 20+ tallies can reach the pool building but unfortunately, the door is on the other side. There are no windows on the walls, but from the clocktower, characters can see that it has a glass ceiling, though they are unable to see inside.
✽ Outside, there is no breeze, and it occasionally rains ash.
✽ Characters going up to the 4th floor will feel that the door is warm to the touch, and will occasionally open (see: missions)
✽ The student store opens, with the door propped open with a doorstopper. The npc running the storeis currently not interested in conversation, but may be available for threading in the future and is available for threading in the toplevel below. Please see the updated bonus activity page for more information.
✽ Posted on the bulletin board and also handed to each club president before break is the notice that proof of club activity is due at the end of break. Please submit these proofs in the toplevel below.
✽ There is another ad on the bulletin board advertising an exchange student program for the month of October. Applications will be taken until the end of August, and there is a 300 merit point fee. Sister cities include Death City, Devildom, Ishigami Village, Lanling, LazyTown, and Maiami City.

Okay he isn't wrong but also judging by this guy's commentary, he's guessing he's never had anything close to experiencing a 'hot girl summer'. But that's fine, Akira's an expert - you came to the right person. ]
Ah... it's more than just the temperature, it's a right of passage. [ He's now turned towards him, one hand outstreched in front; the other hand counting his fingers against his open palm for all the summer requirements. ] The smell of the ocean, sand in your trunks, catching lobster with your bare hands, showing off your summer bod... and no summer is complete without scoring a date on a hot summer night. You get it, right?
[ I... don't think this is how everyone spends their summer, but Akira sure seems serious enough to make it so. ]
It's beyond his comprehension
Ah... I am not quite sure that I do! So it is some sort of coming-of-age ceremony, that involves a beach and 'bod' fit for the summer... and a date?
[He shakes his head, and then he launches into a scolding.]
That does not sound like any rite of passage that I have ever heard of! Also, there is more to life than dates, you know! Like schoolwork, and studying!

[ Said so matter of fact like it might as well be the truth of it. And you know... not just baseless flirting and trying to score some company. He's not going to explain that part to this guy because somehow he thinks he might not get it, but Akira does look quite sagely with his hand on his chin. ]
Studying... social sciences. What people are attracted to, how they think. Physical fitness, too. ... You really don't know?
[ He's eyeing him suspiciously, too seriously. Like this really is grave. A big problem. ]

[ Good thing Akira's an expert... that

Ah... Social studies?! I- I never considered it from that perspective before! I always thought such things have been frivolous distractions, but... could it actually be that ny studies are sorely lacking?!
[He looks down at his hands as he considers that, in a state of anguish.]
I cannot... I cannot fail at the summer! Not after passing the standard school semester. A true student excels in their studies at all times of the year!!

[ - one hand swishes his bangs to the side on the way to smoothly pulling his own glasses off his face; the other remains Ishimaru's shoulders confidently, while he gets up close and personal to drop his glasses on Ishimaru's nose, just to see the look. Don't worry, they're costume so he won't have any trouble seeing out of the fake lenses... hm... Akira doesn't know if it suits him, but he doesn't take them back yet. ]

Why thank you! I make sure to train my body as well as my mind. [Such is the path of hard work!] I am glad that you notice that!
[It means his hard work is paying off! He's a bit confused as Akira comes up close and personal. With the glasses on his face, he's confused for a moment and reaches to adjust the glasses on his face. His eyesight is the same, so it seems these are fake lenses entirely.]
I have never understood why one would wear glasses that do not help with one's vision. Frankly, it feels quite unnecessary! But if this is what this exercise calls for... then I will do my best!
