Please let August be better than July I'm begging

✽ Due to 10+ classes raising their ranks last month, ALL characters have access to the courtyard via the door in the locker area and the windows facing the courtyard.
✽ Characters with 1-10 tallies are not able to get any further past the end of the courtyard before they fall unconscious; characters with 10-20 can get halfway to the pool building before the same happens to them; characters with 20+ tallies can reach the pool building but unfortunately, the door is on the other side. There are no windows on the walls, but from the clocktower, characters can see that it has a glass ceiling, though they are unable to see inside.
✽ Outside, there is no breeze, and it occasionally rains ash.
✽ Characters going up to the 4th floor will feel that the door is warm to the touch, and will occasionally open (see: missions)
✽ The student store opens, with the door propped open with a doorstopper. The npc running the store is currently not interested in conversation, but may be available for threading in the future and is available for threading in the toplevel below. Please see the updated bonus activity page for more information.
✽ Posted on the bulletin board and also handed to each club president before break is the notice that proof of club activity is due at the end of break. Please submit these proofs in the toplevel below.
✽ There is another ad on the bulletin board advertising an exchange student program for the month of October. Applications will be taken until the end of August, and there is a 300 merit point fee. Sister cities include Death City, Devildom, Ishigami Village, Lanling, LazyTown, and Maiami City.

[ npc-kun takes Akira's hand with a grin, because people in this school are a lot poorer than they'd expected; they need somebody like Akira to squeeze every last drop out of people's wallets. Get people into debt... charge interest... send Akira after them... ]

[ Whether or not fucking over happens... If Akira doesn't find out, then it never happened. ]

[ Also... yeah, this all just to prepare him for whatever the fuck Seiji has in store for him. Though he doesn't know how much debt collecting he'll be doing in comparison to stand there, look scary, and potentially start beating the shit out of someone the moment they swear they won't talk.

[ npc-kun makes a face like Akira had insulted their mother or something, excuse you? them giving somebody something for free??

You can have it for free if you draw a rhinoceros for me. It doesn't matter if it's ugly.

[ Akira looks at him, eyes just slightly vacant. He's considering walking out the door but then realizes that it would be easier just to draw, so he squats down and opens a random mini notepad. Give him a minute cause he has to remember what those little horned bitches look like -- also, yes, he's using merchandise but they didn't hand him any paper for free so...

[ npc-kun peeks around him while he draws, and the end result is delightful. They swap back and forth deciding whether that's a nostril or a mustache— a rhino facing forward or one facing to the side— and art this questionable is exactly what they're looking for. ]

A bell is too noisy. Anyone who is familiar with our business will know you're sending me out on somethin', and then they could try runnin' out.

Why are you using the word "hunting"... [ First off! What the fuck!? ] And it doesn't really matter, I just check up on him to make sure no one murders him. Otherwise, if anything, I'd be the one doing anything to him, y'know.

Hm? It's hunting. [ It's just the most apt term for this. ] But anyways, this is a "Nobody can kill him but me" sort of thing? That's stupid. Don't kill him.

Not really. [ He waves a hand. ] It's more like, "I'd rather be the one to kill you than someone else" -- honestly, I'm just tryin' to keep the guy from dying. He's irritating enough and I know that I could kill him if I wanted to, he's weak. Most people here are.

I doubt he wants protection. The guy was grinning ear-to-ear when I punched him, so I'm assuming he likes get roughed up.
