August Event
Please let August be better than July I'm begging
✽ Due to 10+ classes raising their ranks last month, ALL characters have access to the courtyard via the door in the locker area and the windows facing the courtyard.
✽ Characters with 1-10 tallies are not able to get any further past the end of the courtyard before they fall unconscious; characters with 10-20 can get halfway to the pool building before the same happens to them; characters with 20+ tallies can reach the pool building but unfortunately, the door is on the other side. There are no windows on the walls, but from the clocktower, characters can see that it has a glass ceiling, though they are unable to see inside.
✽ Outside, there is no breeze, and it occasionally rains ash.
✽ Characters going up to the 4th floor will feel that the door is warm to the touch, and will occasionally open (see: missions)
✽ The student store opens, with the door propped open with a doorstopper. The npc running the storeis currently not interested in conversation, but may be available for threading in the future and is available for threading in the toplevel below. Please see the updated bonus activity page for more information.
✽ Posted on the bulletin board and also handed to each club president before break is the notice that proof of club activity is due at the end of break. Please submit these proofs in the toplevel below.
✽ There is another ad on the bulletin board advertising an exchange student program for the month of October. Applications will be taken until the end of August, and there is a 300 merit point fee. Sister cities include Death City, Devildom, Ishigami Village, Lanling, LazyTown, and Maiami City.

[ It's not (comparably) a lot of money, but it's something. ]
Okay. 200,000 and five minutes.
no subject
( that is not the price he was aiming for, but he can work things out! )
no subject
[ both are already so low? Komaeda please ]
no subject
( he thinks that's actually a fair price. )
no subject
I said final offer! You're rich, so don't be so stingy with your money! And let me hug you!
[ he's acting like those multi-billionaires who eat out at restaurants and don't tip grrrrrr ]
no subject
( he can't even hold his hand up to do this cute gesture, sighs, where is his other arm!!!
and stop, 420 is funnier than lucky 7s. )
It's better to hug with two arms than one.
no subject
Oh... That's true.
[ They deflate in the face of logic. ]
Give me the money, then I'll give you your arm, and then I'll hug you and you have to hug me back.
no subject
( how will he get the money without his arm? )
Are you able to trust me?
no subject
...Yes. But if you break my trust, I'm going to be mad at you, and then you have to make it up to me. Plus what you originally owe.
no subject
( he looks at the door of the student store like he's waiting. )
no subject
but okay. They open the door easily enough and wait until Komaeda's through too before ducking behind the counter and bringing him the arm. Which is actually kind of gross when they think about it; they're not sure they'd like to sit behind the counter all day with a prosthetic arm under their feet.
...
Waiting for him to screw it back on or however that works, before they collect their dues. ]
no subject
he then starts to remove the straps of the gas mask from his face, so that he can hand it to npc-kun instead. )
Okay, I'll be on my way!

no subject
Hey, hey... I need Add-kun to put it back on for me, and then I can return with everything.
( wait...
he opens his arm up.
hug... )
no subject
[ They've played with dolls before, they know how this works. You just sort of pop the arm back into the glenoid cavity and bam! good as new.
...
They come to him anyways and wraps their arms around him. ]
This one doesn't count. You owe me a two armed hug.
no subject
( he's trying to balance his arm from falling onto the ground, and standing completely still so that he can take a step back on his own terms since this one doesn't count. )
I'm sorry, Add-kun doesn't like other people touching his things.
no subject
Ignoring that question so these seconds don't count— ]
You're not a "thing."
no subject
but he will ignore npc-kun's comment. )
You can come with me to visit Add-kun.
( because they're latched to him so... it's not like he can peel them off. )
no subject
Okay.
[ It's never a bad things to meet potential customers and bait them into shopping in their store. Maybe they can steal a hammer and make Add buy a new one. ]
no subject
( hopefully not, but how else will komaeda get his arm on without his help? so that's the plan, he's going to lead npc-kun along so that they can search for him.
oh add, where art thou is add? komaeda's little brother is hiding somewhere. )

crawls out from the abyss................
he doesn't bother looking up when they enter, his entire right arm up to the shoulder buried in ball monokuma's mouth to prod at some deep internal mechanism that's being particularly difficult... it's fine, he'll keep his arm intact as long as his other hand is holding the jaws open. don't worry about it.]
What do you want? I'm busy. [he knows one of them is komaeda, so he's only mildly annoyed at being disturbed.]
no subject
npc-kun hangs back a little as they approach the classroom and they can hear somebody working inside. Not like they're shy or anything, just... This is Komaeda's friend. ]
He was attacked by a ghost and got his arm ripped off. Can you pop it back in?
