give your friends a surprise

Who: EVERYONE
What: FAMILY MEETING
When: 8/4, right after school closes.
Where: Student council room
Warnings: Eventually, probably.

["If my friends back home were acting like this, I would've already locked them in a room and forced them to figure out their feelings."

the job puts all of her considerable superspy skills to the test. she knows where every normal kid's locker is; it's easy enough to slip the note into each that morning. if it's someone who she knows would be unable to read the note, she tells them its contents, but keeps her own involvement out of it. lies of omission don't count.

the note reads:]

I have very important information about this place. Please come to the student council room after school ends today.

- Nao Sato

[and if the text looks just a bit girlier than you'd think she'd write, hey, you don't know her. she's got layers.

either way, it's a pretty interesting proposition: the student council room door is, for the first time in seemingly ever, wide open. anyone can walk inside - and, hopefully, most everyone should. because it's only when Stephanie thinks that she's got enough of them inside that she actually enters the room, shutting the door behind her.

click.

it locks. she grins, spins the key on her finger, and slips it into her pocket.

"How are you supposed to do that with grownups?"

the exact same way, she's decided.]

We haven't had any meetings since, um. Well. The last one. But, I'm pretty sure nobody has no more murders to report, so it shouldn't be too bad, and we can all just focus on the most important task: Getting along! All of us are on the same team, but most of us barely even know each other; some of us even hate some of the others! [SHE SAYS, LIKE SHE DOESN'T ACTIVELY DESPISE KOKICHI] So, I figured we could spend the evening fixing that problem. Play some games, talk about stuff we've discovered since the last time...

And, maybe, if everybody does a really good job, I'll unlock the door!

[ Minato smiles a little, seeing Ishimaru like this, a far cry from when they briefly met before, and can't help but think they're lucky to have somebody from the student council here. A leader. Somebody to place confidence in. Minato never thought he inspired much himself, anyways. ]

A game... maybe? So everybody can play together. Conversations with more than two people get kinda...

[ you know

Anyways it's not going to work with 30+ students all talking at once in a single room ]

[Yes, these are definitely... much more preferable circumstances as far as Ishimaru's confirmed. He's a bit nervous about living up to his position, but he's trying his best to act as some sort of guide or leader for the others.]

Ah yes, of course. A conversation of that size would be practically impossible to keep track of, no matter how hard you look at it! [A sage nod.] Of course, we could split into pairs or other small groups for such a purpose.

But in any case, a game would be great for all of us to do something at the same time! It's only a question of which one. I'm afraid that my studies are somewhat lacking when it comes to games, especially ones suitable for a group as large as this one...

[ What's a good game to play with a lot of people? Minato looks stumped too, because it's not something he can draw upon experience for, and even the sports teams he considered were largely individual sports. This room was only meant to fit a third of their numbers comfortably, so it's kind of tough with people sitting on the floor, people standing, people stabbing each other, people walking around...

...Tag?

[Ishimaru answers with a meek smile.]

Tag sounds like it could be a bit too... physical. Especially while we are confined to this room. And the last thing I would want is for anyone to get hurt during this meeting due to running around or tagging someone with too much force!

There has to be a less active choice. Perhaps some sort of word game?

He glances around the room, also figuring how things can get out of hand with people in here...and, well. ]

...What about 'two truths and a lie'? Amami mentioned the game to me sometime ago and that may be fun. Of course, if you have any other suggestions - such as what the possible word game may be - I am open to them.

I- I see... I can see how it could be a fun game! I am personally not much for lying myself, but I suppose that it is a game that can help us to learn things about each other...
