but i don't even know how the chemistry works when you're poolside
kicking in the dirt, kicking in the sand and stirring up trouble.

This post is a place for all of Komaeda's closed threads, starters, and miscellany through the month. If you want to set something up, I can be reached by PM or at

what's the bug that talks by rubbing their legs is it bees
he removes one hand to reach for the pencil, pulling it out quickly that blood spurts, scattering onto the ground along with pencil — with that gone, perhaps the heat of the wound can stave off the cold. though, there's something oddly different about the outside of the courtyard — the frozen stillness, the complete darkness of the sky that they're surrounded by, and he recalls that when they left it was brighter — was it always like this on the other side? between keeping his eye on shin, and then glancing at the tree that has nothing, bare from the tip all the way to the bottom...
...
...
...
he focuses on shin first and foremost, picking up the pace (but not too fast because he sees no reason to exert all his energy), as he tries to close the distance between them despite the other booking it. it's because he wonders if shin will be just as confused as him which will give him time to catch up, but if not, he knows there's various ways to catch the other. )
cicadas I think
Shin isn't really paying attention to the tree enough to be confused by it. On some level there's a part of his mind registering it as unusual; the tree, the sky, the ice, but it's on the backburner, tickertape catalogue right now.
Shin won't know which way Komaeda intends to catch him until he decides on one, but the point becomes a bit moot when his foot catches the grass at wrong speed and angle and he absolutely beefs it on the ground, skidding, panting, and then struggling to get back up to his feet and speed, frozen hands on the ground. This is your chance to close distance, Komaeda.]
those are too noisy i dont think komaeda and shin would want those... can't hear their own thoughts.
maybe this is komaeda's luck that shin fumbled the way he did, and this is an advantage shown to him as he runs over to try and catch up — slipping himself, tripping over his own feet, and he falls DIRECTLY on top of shin like out of some shoujo chase scene. there's no wisteria blossoms to whirlwine around them, but they do have that stiff cold creeping over their body, his blood leaking from his arm, and the frost that nips at his hand once he touches it the ground.
he tries to push himself up, practically sitting on shin's back now like one would do a horse. it's probably not the best time for this, but the sky is completely black — nothing above, and he searches for something, anything. )
Tsukimi-kun... do you see anything strange?
( considering komaeda's eyes compared to the other's sight, they're both observant people, they read between the lines, and having incite from him also works. )
What if the gardening is hiding out in the darkness ready to consume us! How exciting, I wonder how you'd handle it...
( sounds like a horrible fate, one they can't run from either considering they have no glass shard to use. )
turns out legs are loud :' ) also i'm crying not like a horse
He's observant, his mind and eyes keep going even wracked with fear; more, even, the source of his ability to predict. It becomes a case of too much signal than too little if it ever is, hampering his ability to tease it into the right strands, focusing too much on the wrong things.]
N-no... I don't.
[He can only see so much of the courtyard where he's fallen, negative space always a little more terrifying than the known, and he doesn't have the spirit-sight required to see the shadow-beast here. He can't see Komaeda, or the gardener... both feel like equally deadly threats right now, so it's hard for his fear to tick up past this level. He swallows, pulling his arms back in from where they were flung out in front of him, tears beading in his eyes as he counts his own heartbeats and tries to blink them back while he waits for Komaeda's next move.]
legs WITH the stiletto heels so they go clack clack when they walk
( then again, rabbits can die without being prey — they're just always shaking from fear, despair induced in a way, and as komaeda looks down at shin; he looks like he could shatter easily. that's why komaeda's mindful in his actions, moving slow so that he can calm down some, but it's because predator's can smell fear, and if that's true for within the void, then it'll be bad if shin's hubris backfired on them. that would be an unlucky scenario. )
I'm going to get up, but don't run... our surroundings are different, and if you die here, your body there will just drop.
( that's how they work, which makes killing even cleaner here than out there, and hides the way a person might have died. the thing about this is, he doesn't want to deal with shin's body once he returns, and the thought of explaining "oh? the gardener ate him" sounds like a lie when it comes from his lips. then again, if someone was to die in the crawlspaces, and the lack of people that already go through there... it's an idea for the future. anyway, it's best to avoid that as a whole with him, however, the least komaeda can do is work on being gentler with him (if there was ever a day) today so that he doesn't act out to get himself killed.
for shin's predictions (is this what i'm supposed to do), komaeda will remain on his back for about three minutes with or without the other responding (because he believes the other will just do), and he'll crawl himself off of him, then proceed to reach out to pat his head. )
that's one heck of a mental image
You think I don't know that!?
[It's a low hiss into the ground in front of him. He hates this so much.
I'm still figuring out how this power works in rp, we will work it out hand in hand together, but he'll know that Komaeda's next move is that he's going to get off of him, which is somewhat of a small spot of relief in the midst of everything else about this. It doesn't, however, tell him when that's going to happen so it's an agonizing three minute wait, after which he rolls away from Komaeda and the hand, slowly getting back to his feet, panting.
He doesn't run, at least. Just stands, a few steps back, with his eyes trained on Komaeda in sharp wary assessment, hand and face in scarf, and his ears strained for any sound other than their breathing in this quiet courtyard.]
with great imagination comes great responsibility as you know, superhero 101!
Then you should be mindful, I know you can't run for long!
( as if komaeda's taking care of him in some way, but what's more surprising is the hiss that left from the other — it's not really frightening, but it makes him feel as if he's done a good job. riling people up, seeing how they'll react as if they're a social experiment for him, and that'll help shin in the long run he believes — if he can trust komaeda in terrorizing his life, he can always be one step ahead when it comes to other threats and dangers. shin has a premonition around komaeda, and komaeda thinks he's helping him in some way... teamwork! )
Ah, don't look at me that way... we're friends, aren't we? You can trust me.
( he stands in that danganronpa pose, but he smiles like normal. during this exchange, he listens to his own voice, and once he stops, the silence dawns back over them again. there's nothing, different from the creaks they'd at least hear when they're walking inside of the school, but this place... has nothing for them. not even the rustle of petals and leaves from the tree, because it lacks that in particular.
his eyes glance at the tree, and then back to shin to see how he responds vocally or physically, as for komaeda? he's rubbing his foot against the ground, noticing how slick it is from the ice. )
