It's a lazy Sunday, late afternoon with the sun making its way down for the day and no longer shining directly overhead the pool building, lights on inside but only to the hour. For those still in the water this late, they may consider getting out soon so they can dry off and get dressed before they're forced to do it in the dark.

Or maybe they should get out now, because in the deep end, something large and dark is slowly making its way up from the depths.

There are some wet footprints around, but also the tile is wet in general and that wetness remains inside the pool area/showers/actually if they're here early enough they might be able to see Hikaru's footprints as they ran outside barefoot.

None of the lockers are fucked up. Most are open and empty, while some are closed and locked by whoever brought their own lock and key to secure their personal belongings while swimming.

The severed arm sinks... and sinks... and sinks... It disappears into the depths of the pool.

Okay, if Komaeda uses hsis mechanical arm, is he able to get any of the locked lockers open... sometimes you make do with your arm, because he's curious...

Also Subaru will be sent on a mission to the changing stalls / bathrooms to check if anything is in there, does he find anything out of order? I can't remember if these two things are in the same area, it's been so long since school help.

The way you didn't let the arm float because you knew I'd go back for it... insane.

Does his mechanical arm have a lock pick or are you telling me he's going to punch the lockers

The changing stalls/bathrooms aren't immaculate... assuming he's in the boy's side and it's a little messy bc it's boys. But for him specifically, with his sensitive sense of smell, Subaru will be able to pick up the smell of something... grassy? flowery? like plants.

and look, I googled whether arms float but there doesn't seem to be an answer for detached arms, it says bodies will sink if there's no air inside and arms shouldn't have air so I decided it sinks

He'll punch the lockers??? LISTEN!!! He's learning from Kijima-kun please, is there anything nifty in those lockers that he can steal? He does have Dito's dagger... but I have doubts that can lockpick.

He punches the lockers and some of the lockers cave in. He can steal so many people's clothes... also a pair of glasses, a watch, some white candle stubs, dirty rags, a half empty box of chalk, and somebody's collection of gacha rocks.

Yeah, he'll come back for half of this later... wait, did anyone roll any good gacha rocks? So he'll dip from here and go check on everyone... is they all in the void, is Subaru and Komaeda the only people not voided, is the body bag still there while they're fighting for their fucking lives?

They're all normal boring rocks you'd find on the side of the street.

The state/existence of the body bag depends on what they all do in the void, so hold this thought--

anyway, subaru deffo checks out the boy's first... he'll like, get to the girls probaly eventually... but first he's gonna follow his nose and try and find out where that flowery? plant small is something from

Subaru sniffs around and finds that the smell is coming from the boy's changing room, and that he has to get down low to find where it's smelling the strongest, although it's still very very faint. The smell seems to be coming from the ground, as if some plants were set here at some point, but overwhelmingly the smell in the changing room is bleach.
