It's a lazy Sunday, late afternoon with the sun making its way down for the day and no longer shining directly overhead the pool building, lights on inside but only to the hour. For those still in the water this late, they may consider getting out soon so they can dry off and get dressed before they're forced to do it in the dark.

Or maybe they should get out now, because in the deep end, something large and dark is slowly making its way up from the depths.

✽ Hikaru can initially be found exiting the pool building yelling for Lucifer-senpai, and will run to the dorms yelling for Lucifer-senpai, if your character needs a reason to go to the pool building

Since times are dire, she's going to try to open the locker door, and if there's a key lock on it, she'll see if she can't use her cane to work as a lever to pull against it and break it.

If it's a combination lock, she's telling the boys to shut up and going to listen to the mechanics to try and solve it with sound and touch for when it gets to the right numbers.

aighesgnskj lena... subaru had komaeda smash some tiles... but ur actually gettin somewhere. ngl he'll come over when he realizes she's around to watch, he can be a quiet boy!!!! all perked up his responsible roomie's here



if we get a sock we can shut komaeda up too

komaeda walks over and danganronpa stands, pushing subaru onto the floor so he can stay away from him :)

Both ways will work but the moment she wedges her cane into the handle or touches the combination lock, she'll realize that it's one of the lockers Komaeda had already hulk smashed open.

Specifically, it contains the candle nubs, some dirty rags, the box of chalk, and a handful of gacha rocks. The locker itself feels clean if she were to touch around the inside, and it smells of cleaning solution.

Komaeda walked away, so it's her clues now.

okay so she's just going to take all of that because it probably means something or belongs to a cultist and anyway komaeda left

as much as I regret asking do the rags smell of anything in particular or just the solution

It's mostly cleaning solution, but she may pick up traces of whatever burned bodies smell like, and the smell of ...alcohol? gasoline? kind of like marker ink

after taking all that, she'll exit the locker room back to the main pool area, and hopefully corpse party over there is busy, because she's going to use her strike ability again to scan the area and see if there's any major threats or any items we're missing...

not the legs though the pool can have those

follows out like a puppy dog ignoring the corpse party he wants no part in WHATEVER they are doing. he'll tell natsume later tho

Helena strikes the ground and maybe it's a good thing Subaru is here, because there are some suspicious somethings in the boy's bathroom and changing stalls, small enough to be missed at first glance. She will also find that the tile, despite being wiped down with bleach, is a little bumpy in some places... a closer investigation will reveal drops of candle wax between the pool and the boy's changing room.

mira told me that helena would ask subaru to go investigate the suspicious somethings in the changing stalls, so he's gonna be a good boy and do that..!!!

he'll search up and down for anything out of the ordinary

Subaru looks around the changing stalls and if he crawls around on his hands and knees enough, he'll come across another one of those chalk nubs like Helena had found in the locker, having rolled to the side of the room. In the corner closest to the door, he'll find a red ribbon.

he'll take them both. another quick look around, but if that's it he'll come back to helena to present his findings. if he wasn't right in the head he'd wear the ribbon but fortunately he's not rika

is the ribbon in decent condition or is it older and worn...thinking emoji

Most of it looks to be fairly new, but a part of it has had its color bleached out, and one end looks burned, leaving about half a foot of ribbon left but no way of telling how long it used to be. Compared to the ribbons on the school uniforms, this one is narrower.

ok she'll tell subaru what she's sensed so he can go after it and go to investigate the tile in the meantime, this is true teamwork!!! ...seems like someone was playing with fire here
