What: Movie Night + Slumber Party

Where: Dorm Common Room
Warnings: A ridiculous amount of Fluff, probably
( it starts out small. a need for comfort food, and a need for something heartfelt but silly and fun, something genuine and kind. ... and, well, she did find a weird. bootleg vhs set of her favorite movie series, hamster space wars. but the dorm is only barely furnished- and it's not like they can just go out and buy a tv or anything. honestly she completely doubts there's even anything beyond the woods. but she remembers a teacher playing the thing and other stuff in the first month of all of this.
it's so long ago...
but there's a television and a vhs player in the school. and nene... nene's tired and sad and is currently out of fucks to give, so at some point in the day, after everyone else has left, nene has returned to the school and, uh. "borrowed" both things. it's fine. they just have to get it back in by sunday evening. don't worry about it. like, it's definitely heavy but she's a tough cookie who tills soil and everything, and also sara and noah both witnessed everything and are accomplices by default, so they had to help carry things too.
(they were completely happy to help on both accounts, she asked very nicely.)
so the "borrowed" television is set up across from one of the larger couches, and the vhs on top of it. she had cookies in the oven, donuts and hot chocolate made and popcorn popped. the common room paintings are covered with sheets of cloth. all that was left was something cozy- but at this point, nene's made so many little cushions and blankets and even cozy pjs that that's super easy. all that was left was letting anyone who wanted to come know too. so at some point in the halls, nene walks down calling out: )
Cartoons in the common room! Bring blankets and stuff!
( and, so everyone knows what their characters are getting into: hamster space wars is a movie series about different factions of hamsters that have been trying for cross planetary peace for ages now, with a villainous faction having sabotaged the final negotiations so they can control the war from the shadows to make the most money and also get the most seeds (Very Decadent). the first movie follows the main hamster and his little group trying to escape the villains after having witnessed the sabotage, and are trying to avoid assassination and end the war for good. the sequels follow allied factions, with hamster galactic wars being the Thrilling Conclusion.
it's heartfelt. it's silly. it's very cute. nene loves it. )

Hey... Do we have any grapes? ( he walks over to the refrigerator, opening it to take a peek inside. he seems something yellow, pulling it out to look at the liquid in the container. ) Oh... no, they at least have lemonade, it's cold, but I doubt it's fresh and homemade...
( he's disappointed, sliding it back into as he continues his search. )

( and then he sees something he wants, a carton of eggs... he pulls them out, taking one, and closes it to slide it back on the shelf he got it from. )

( he stares with an egg in hand, nodding to himself as he walks over to the cabinet to pull out a box of rice, he's not checking when he does... but he remembers the last time he fixed a meal, rokkun was pretty satisfied with it and ate the whole thing. he sets it down on the counter with the egg, and pulls out a pot so he can sit it on the stove, and then grabbing a cup so he can pour water inside. turning it on, he waits for it to come to a boil.
he grabs a pan, setting it flat onto the burner, and looking for some oil — he barely misses the clorox, his fingers brushing against the detergent until water pops onto komaeda's collarbone, making him pull his hand back.
Ah! Ahaha... whoops. ( he wipes the liquid away, and he reaches up... grabbing the vegetable oil this time, and he pours it onto the pan. he shakes the pan from left to right so that the oil covers, and he's cracking the egg onto the surface of it with a light sizzle.
... the smell of egg goes through the air. )

no! it's no good! horrible! he chucks it into the trashcan, he won't embarrass his ultimate, and so he's going to take a quick trip.
intermission.
he leaves the dormitory, rushing back to the school so that he can go to the home ec room to get a box of rice that he knows isn't out of date! he touches flat shelf, smacking his hand everywhere, searching... until the tips of his fingers touches a box — he checks it, and yes! it's the same brand he used for rokkun that time.
okay, he'll leave from the school to come back to the dormitory, and that was probably a 10 minute trip. sorry subaru... )

just the yolk is beautiful, yellow, yes... he turns off that side of the stove, and now he's waiting for the "rice" to boil. he walks away from the stove to grab a spoon on the side, coming back to stir it, while thinking of one more ingrediant.
ah... what did they use.
maybe he message rokkun and ask what else they used... he can't remember. meh, he'll improvise. it's one thing, after all.
so as he searches around, he finds...

garnish, herbs, because komaeda is going to use that as he waits for his rice to finish. he plucks... goldenseal... i guess, and check on his rice. looks done to him...
he pours the rice into a bowl, tops the egg on top, and then a dash (heavy) of the herb...
he goes to the kitchen's entrance: )
