[ It's a sympathetic look that crosses Kazuki's face, but there's pity in there too. Humans are fragile, quick to die, they are always begging for extra time when time brings them forward into death's open arms. ]

I cannot be certain this is the case with your friend, but virmutti, by definition, is to let go of all desire. If they have such a strong attachment here, perhaps they will be tethered, in the same way these souls are to this tree. But if they are willing to let go of all things, however hard it may be, you need to respect that decision, lad.
