just another day in paradise
Who: all you cool kids
What: family meeting
When: 9/15
Where: by the poool
Warnings: none yet
[bro this is all so disorganized. Shepard can hardly stand it -- but she's heard of the meetings that they had had in the past, and she's going to take it upon herself to do one of her own. they had to get all of their facts together somehow, at least.
it's the Leader Things in her.]
Everyone meet me near the pool. Between the apparent disappearances last month and what's been going on at the pool, we need to get our facts straight. Meet me here after school's over for the day.
[aaand she's there at her designated time, hoping that they'd at least try to listen to her and gather as she intended...
she's not going to lock anyone in or anything, but if you try to pass her by, she's going to give you A Look like you'd better mind her message. not that she's even close to punching someone out, but. there's probably something a little bit intimidating about the commander who's looking at you expectantly if you try to ignore her meeting.]

Their wrapping wasn't burned howeVER, but it was torn at the bottom; that correlates with the torso-chomping they suffeRED. AdditionalLY, there were three large rocks in one of their pockets that hadn't fallen out despite the HOLE.
( ...he has them in his lap, they're bigger than the gacha rocks. the size you put in snowballs when you really want to hurt someone. )
The little lamb is right too—they were burned completely to the BONE, with particular care to making them as unidentifiable as possiBLE. ( going by the level of scarring and burns on the face, at least. ) They were thrown in after the fact—they nor whoever did it to them was putting them in the pool to try and put the fire OUT.

In that case, the culprit must have been trying to hide it. Pretty sure we all know by now that the deep end is a lot deeper than you can swim to the bottom of, yeah? They probably thought that if they tossed the body down there, nobody would be able to find proof of the crime.
( he pauses, grimacing. knowing it was hidden, he supposes that's one step in the right direction, but... )
How did they get it so severely burned, though? I feel like we'd have noticed, if there was a fire hot enough to leave a body in a state like that.

But... he kind of has to speak up here given the very mortifying realization he's having.]
That... might be a red herring, ahaha. The pool got temporarily turned into lava during the sleepover... and it was hot enough to burn eventually.
[Don't ask how he knows this... it was all Lucifer's doing and definitely not his whim of an idea that's ended up possibly charring a dead body that might have been there the whole time. Can't have nice things in Yogen.]

( bit of a stare here, because what do you mean the pool was lava? and he wants to ask, but... instead, he just sighs. alright, you know what? okay. the pool was lava. his point still stands though, he's pretty sure. )
If that was the case, Sakasaki-kun wouldn't have gone to all the trouble of pointing out that the wrapping wasn't burned. How would it burn the body, but not the fabric the body was wrapped in? So it had to have happened before they were thrown in the pool.

True... It'd have to have been taken out, wrapped, and thrown back in again... Can't see anyone doing that...
[That's a bit of a relief honestly, although it does return them back to the original question. But... it does place a bound of time on it.]
...so we know someone threw it in between then and when it was found.

Yeah. Hey, do you remember what time it was when you went to the pool?
( he saw them on their way out, but had more important things to worry about than the time. )
The more we can narrow down the window, the better, because they probably couldn't have managed all this during class hours.

The pool was dark so... it was definitely after 6pm. It was after the rock gacha machine was brought in [small violins for his merit points]... people were also playing truth and dare. I got back just a little before the first movie started... so that's the earliest time this could have happened.
[Allowing some time for him to get a hot chocolate and then settled back in his cushion pile and claimed by a cat. He didn't check time at all throughout... that's what happens when you let yourself relax for once... thinking about it, the movie marathon would have been a good time to do it, with everyone else distracted watching it... he hates this.]
Lucifer and Subaru would probably know more...
[Just gonna... smoothly bring up the two people that could corroborate this, you know, if fingers started pointing, you know, throw them under the bus a little... and also... kind of protecting the also-obviously-burnt Subaru from that as well. It's possible either of them checked the exact time at some point... Lucifer maybe a little more likely.]

but also, oh, no wonder he didn't bother follow. the truth or dare towards the end of the game was definitely way more important and kind of left him with his hands full. but then again, that does also give him a bit of a timeframe. because kamo-kun was about ready to pass out towards the end of it by 10:30, so... )
Maybe around nine or ten, then. It's still a bit too early for us to know for sure, so I guess we should focus more on what happened, and we can come back to when it happened after.
