just another day in paradise
Who: all you cool kids
What: family meeting
When: 9/15
Where: by the poool
Warnings: none yet
[bro this is all so disorganized. Shepard can hardly stand it -- but she's heard of the meetings that they had had in the past, and she's going to take it upon herself to do one of her own. they had to get all of their facts together somehow, at least.
it's the Leader Things in her.]
Everyone meet me near the pool. Between the apparent disappearances last month and what's been going on at the pool, we need to get our facts straight. Meet me here after school's over for the day.
[aaand she's there at her designated time, hoping that they'd at least try to listen to her and gather as she intended...
she's not going to lock anyone in or anything, but if you try to pass her by, she's going to give you A Look like you'd better mind her message. not that she's even close to punching someone out, but. there's probably something a little bit intimidating about the commander who's looking at you expectantly if you try to ignore her meeting.]

[He frowns a little at that, though he tilts his head back just to sort of watch as Noah does his jig, amusement quickly makes its way back into his face] Impressive! Alright, so if we do need to kill it, you can do... That. And we should be fine.
[He moves to shelve his chin on his palm, drumming his fingers against his cheekbone] But in that case theoretically, if we could find a way to maybe enchant an ordinary rod to be an unbreakable fishing rod, we might just be able to pull the thing back to the surface that way.
We’d need a way to enhance the strength of the user, of course. An unbreakable tool means nothing if you lack the strength to use it. [yo Socrates it’s a fucking fishing rod]

Well... for the fishing rod, I know a small protection spell, [from Clamor, again; lots of learning going on in school as you can see,] so we can use that. Clamor's better at those sorts of things than I am, so we can also ask him...
...I'm not sure about enhancing the strength of the user, though.

A protection spell would definitely help scoot things along, that's for sure. Childe himself might even be able to imbue the rod with his own Vision abilities... That is. If he had them. Which he doesn't, so... That's kinda pointless to count upon, isn't it?
He gives a few lazy kicks of his feet in the water.]
Could also do a net, maybe? Use the rod to lure it up, use the net to catch it. That would circumvent all needs to actively fight the thing in a battle of strength. [Which is sad! But hey, it would be better than losing an arm.]
