[ Some times the next day, Sara starts finding as many people as she can and asking them to please try to be in the dorms this evening. Everything has been chaotic since Clamor's death, and she'd like some clarity.

By sometime after clubs, she's moved Narumi's body out in the common room (perhaps with Akira's help if he was willing), and has started a fire in the fireplace. It's getting chillier at night, and any discussion of a murder mystery plot deserves some ambiance.

She forgot to go get some snacks, but please, feel free to bring some. ]

"Incubator?" Like the boxes that hatch eggs? [beat] Did the cultist turn Clamor into an egg?

I don't know why Clamor called it that. The spell was something he worked on when he was back in Seven Tower — his... college, basically. [The one Noah went snooping around through in sort of this weird little past time loop, and uh Clamor doesn't know about that really, so uh! Shhhhhhhhhut up!] It... had the ability to tear the souls from people. And I'm... I'm not sure if it was used or not, but all the notes build up to it...

... Okay, so the faker took Clamor's eg-- soul, out of his body and put themselves in Clamor's body...

So, we have to find the egg! Um, soul. They must have left him somewhere! Maybe he rolled behind a table...

Right... [Since the other party is discussing that someone doesn't have a soul, and all the spellbook notes point to this...] I just... don't know how to go about doing that, I guess...?

They're kept within the wisteria tree in the courtyard. Everyone who's died here- they're all there. But killing removing branches or flowers from the tree itself... leads to the souls connected to those flowers vanishing.

I mean. I- I guess they stop being dead people once they're picked? Or something?

But it's... ... I've been told that they eventually come back. But I don't know how.

... Well, it's like any other tree, isn't it? The leaves and the flowers always fall off, but they come back. And the fallen ones make the tree healthier. Maybe that's the same, too.

Don't... [Breathes in, breathes out... squeezes his eyes shut.] Don't go plucking petals off of the tree. If something... happens...

[If they're not careful, they could damn everyone trapped there, right?]

It's not unusual for people's souls to become trapped in objects here after they've been pulled OUT.

...no, and it wasn't weird back on Elrios either, since Clamor used to be trapped in my weapon back then.

[It doesn't make sense to him how Clamor was freed of that sickle when they arrived here, but... Noah had gotten used to seeing the half-elf walking around, and either way he'd have been sad about the death.]

...is there some way to tell if an object's got a soul in it?

I... I don't know. That sort of magic... I can't do it. Clamor and I had a sort of pact, but... that was back when he was in weapon form.

[ All she has to do is say the word and her ghost boy is here, coming up behind her and throwing his arms over her shoulders to pull her into a hug because yes, hello. ]

Ah- well... I was hoping you could tell if someone's soul is trapped in an object. ... Clamor- he'd been possessed and there was body hijacking happening? ( you did it to her once :/ ) And we don't know what happened to him... but we found his monocle.

ahem. This sounds like a serious conversation, so even though he doesn't keep the smile off his face, he does relax his hold on Nene for the moment. ]

And you think his soul is inside the monocle? Let me see it.

[ With his hands, not with his eyes; he holds his hand out in front of Nene, just assuming she has it, because she's always his bearer of supernatural objects. ]

[Sorry Noah, he's not intending to hold it back it's just... things have been hectic. You'll probably get it back by meeting's end assuming it's not required for anything else because he likes to sit on things but he's not heartless.

Hanako suddenly appearing gets a tiny jolt out of him but he holds out the monocle by it's string for the observational purposes.]

[ There's a grin— almost a smirk— at Shin's skittishness, but he takes the monocle from him, holding it by the frame and, just like Shin did when he first picked it up, holds it in front of one eye and squeezes the other shut.

It's prescription. [ blurry... He lowers his hand, but doesn't give it back. ] But it's just an object. Why did you think his soul would be in here?

[ It's a personal object, sure, but it's also just eyewear. ]

It didn't seem out of the realm of possibility for something to be trapped THERE.

Well, I can't tell where souls are, and- we haven't been able to find him yet. ... If... if he wasn't trapped somewhere, he knows he could come to me. And he hasn't.

[ Hanako gives Nene a look, because aren't the souls in the tree? Having your soul be sealed in a toy is kind of sad, though. ]

A toy, huh? Unless that's something people carry around school, it sounds like that was prepared in advance. Sure, this thing [ holds the monocle up to his eyes again ] is convenient, but it's not like when somebody dies, their soul goes inside the closest thing.
