- [The fact of the matter is that Inaba knows that her stuff still... exists. After all, she had the pendant that Taichi gave her on her person - although if she died, how is it still fine? She can't help but wonder that, just a little.
She also hasn't exactly... spoken much about the fact that she might have died in the school, or the specifics on what happened. Sure, there's a lot that she doesn't recall - blanks in memories that nag at her, a worry that she may not actually be 'Inaba Himeko'.
Especially when she can't prove herself. She was never close to anyone, after all.
But that's something for another time.
What's happening now is that she's trying to look for her laptop - she knows it existed, but doesn't know what happened to it. Was it gone forever, or perhaps...
And eventually she finds herself at the workshop; it's on the same floor as her classroom, after all -
And then she walks in, scours around a bit and, well -
Some people may hear a rather audible scream.]
What the hell?!
[.........uh.
Maybe that should be checked on?]

[he shrugs as he turns slightly to face her, twirling the tool in his hand. he might've seen her once or twice months ago, but her face doesn't seem all that memorable... hmm.]
If it was brought here, it's probably a piece of junk. You can check the scrap pile if you want... I've already located the more valuable pieces, so I don't care if you take some of the leftovers. Just try not to break anything.

[Of course her face isn't memorable in spite of how easily she huffs, how livid she is, how her knuckles turn white at her sides as her nails dig into the skin, bubbling with frustration.]
And they don't just - break without a purpose, so--!!

[No matter how angry she gets... Add just looks mildly annoyed at best. His sympathy is nonexistent over here. Sorry, Inaba. He sighs loudly.]
Take better care of your things, then. It's not my problem so stop making a fuss about it... either dig out your scrap-heap of a device or stop yelling in my workshop.

[Her voice goes from frustration to something a lot more cold, hard, and bitter.]
And I do take care of my shit. It's not my fault that shit happened to make me disappear - [She doesn't say die, never die] for fucking months on end.

[... or something more interesting, if she's telling the truth. he spins the tool in his hand idly. hmmm.]
... Elaborate, then. Give me a good excuse, and I'll consider providing my assistance. I keep track of every part that passes through my club's supplies... so if a particular laptop went missing, I suppose I might be able to reassemble it.
[like, probably. maybe.]

[It's a pretty much immediate answer.]
And I can assure you that it was not voluntary.
[Because if she had any choice, she would have liked to have gone home and never return ever again--]
And if I have all the parts, I can build it from scratch. But only if all the parts are intact. Don't have technomancy or whatever the hell, so I don't need any help.
