[Simeon likes to call Lucifer "Lucy" back home. Sigh. That damnable nickname...]
We refer to my little brother as Belphie, too. How ironic. I'm sure he'd be interested to learn about having a cat named after him. He rather likes humans, so he'd probably find it funny.
[Except for that one stint where he didn't but that's long past them now.]
Many demons are quite fond of humans, actually. The Prince of the Devildom, for example, likes humans enough to invite them to come to our university on an exchange program.
Belphie's like of humans started when we were all still angels, and my other brother Mammon has been known to like certain humans in the past and shower them with gold, when he's feeling particularly generous.
Several years ago, the Devildom had a human exchange student come to our college. They're... nosey, a bit daft, and a damn brat... but at the same time, they're a very kind, pure-hearted individual. Very headstrong and very competent, when they want to be. They were the catalyst, I suppose.

[Which is rare, but.]
