Eventually, though, after several minutes of nothingness, the little light gets closer, closer, really nothing more than the size of a firefly by the time it's right in front of them.

[ Hikaru calls the name out tentatively, but there is no reaction from the light. Uncertain, they reach out to touch it, not having heard Komaeda's ass-slapping adventures, but draws their hand back at the last moment and looks to Lucifer to decide on what the best thing to do it would be ]

[ Hikaru reaches out with both hands, cupping their hands around the light in the sort of cage you'd make when catching fireflies out in the woods on summer nights, shifting their thumb slightly to see the little light shining through the gaps of their fingers.
The light dims and disappears, and Hikaru slumps all at once in Lucifer's arms.

The soul is... uh... gone. Lucifer figures they've got it? Maybe? And so he'll fly back up and out of the void with Sleeping Beauty here.]
We found a little light that possibly was Narumi's soul. ...Hikaru reached toward it and fell asleep, but I believe we... have it. Possibly.
[That or Hikaru and Narumi are One now.]

( that's to helena as he looks towards hikaru asleep, and since they're gone, their guide is down for the count, and now they have to rely on one another. )

Please let Lucifer be in command of the vehicle, if you insist on it. There are still some other things I can remember as useful...

( he noticed lucifer looking towards him, and he smiles in return that's more of a "no worries," because what's the worst he can do? besides, they're a holder of narumi's soul piece, so they have to keep them safe for as long as they can. he slowly releases helena's hand once lucifer picks a vehicle.
he'll walk over to the opposite side of where hikaru is if he's not driving, and he can be a just as good in the backseat, unless they're in the pick up truck then that's fine too. )

[she has to strike again, to remember the exact locations now that her point of reference has changed, and once things are thrown back into focus, she points up and in the direction of whatever she can notice. high, in the direction that they were dowsing for Narumi's house - an unknown, but it's there.]

[He pays attention to the location being pointed out — quite far off — and if possible he's going to also commit grand theft auto with the car that everyone's in and drive them closer to it, just to keep the group close together as possible. When they inevitably get to a point where driving further is either stupid or impossible, he'll turn to look at Komaeda from the driver's seat in that way that dads do, you know, this thing.]
Komaeda, if you could watch Hikaru and not let them out of your sight, I would appreciate it. If anything of note comes up, shout for us, and if we don't hear you, hold onto that thought until we return. If danger comes up, take them and run.
[Splitting the party is already a bad idea but they've done it five times already so it's probably fine. Anyway, out of the car.]

[Much like the first time they met and he flew her around the courtyard, he scoops her into a bridal carry, and up they go, to head toward the mystery! This time with more purpose and less flips.]

( how father-like, lucifer, and komaeda laughs softly as the chain around his neck jingles as he turns to look towards hikaru's peaceful face. he's got the kid with their head down in his lap, and one hand covered over their eyes so they can have that extra blanket of darkness covering them. knowing that have to stay here and run if there's any danger, it sounds fine, leaving the cripple here to take care of weight is more than fine. )
...Hm, Goto-kun, I wonder what it's like to sleep with someone else's soul in you.
( interesting, he thinks, but he'll lean back as he glances to the side, a little excited for whatever their developments might be. )
