[Komaeda is stealing a bus but this aint about him, Clamor is being permitted to drive and he is c:!!! listening intently to everyone's instructions... he only struggles a little with figuring out how seatbelts work but it's fine, dwbi]

Let's see... so this goes here, and it's the pedal at the bottom to move...?

[his monocle broke so he's squinting to make out the blurry letters on anything... he puts it in neutral. the engine just revs loudly when he pushes on the pedal until either Lucifer or Sara correct him on that. unfortunately, the damage is already done—clearly you need to push harder to make it go, so

about 15 seconds after starting the car Clamor floors it, briefly veering onto the sidewalk and narrowly missing Helena before crashing directly into a lamppost.

the airbags go off. hope everyone was buckled.]

Clamor—

[It's too late because Clamor sends them all careening into a lamppost and Lucifer braces against the airbag impact, momentarily checking after the initial accident to see if everyone in the backseat is fine before he's full stop turning to Clamor to help him get out of airbag city.]

...it was a valiant first attempt, my love. Are you alright?

[Lucifer's checking to see if Clamor got hurt. Fuck the rest of y'all you can check yourselves for injuries, right now there's a distressed bird brushing his hands over Clamor's face to make sure glass didn't like, cut him or something.]

[ Narumi, unconscious in the backseat, ]

We're good!

[He calls back, because the car is already full and no way is he going in the trunk or in a seat where he's got someone on the floor and he's going to go ahead and guess Helena wouldn't enjoy that either...

and then Clamor crashes it.

You know what he's just going to ignore Komaeda doing a stick em up because this seems entirely in keeping with Komaeda, he's half-running over to the crashed car, scarf tugging at Helena twice to follow before loosening so she's not Straight Up Yanked behind him.]

A-are... I-is everyone okay!?

[He's putting his hand on one of the backseat doors and fogging up the window with his panting assuming there are still windows, he's going to knock and then attempt to open the door and eventually some part of him gets worried slash impatient enough that one of the scarms rolls into a fist and uh. Punches the window in, to Shin's utter surprise as much as anyone else's but he's poking his head inside after both of them paw-pry the edges out I hope you all like safety glass.]

Oowww... [ Petting Satou for moral support. ] Clamor, you only need to push it a little. And make sure you're in the right gear. And check your mirrors before you make...ow...a turn.

[ That's all the time she gets before Shin punches the window in like some kind of horror movie monster and Sara screams and holds up the dog like it will protect her from Sou trying to murder them for the crime of trying to kill Helena with a car (not her fault!!) ]

Waaaah! I'm sorry I didn't mean for Clamor to hit her, he's just learning! [ Kill them not her!! ] He's only good at magic not driving, but he really wants to drive so you have to be supportive Sou! I'm sorry!

[Clamor, still in shock as Lucifer frees him from the airbag... but also] Huh... that's a pretty handy safety feature...

the car is not fine, tho. rip the toyota corolla but the bus is the better size for this group anyway, let its death not be in vain... Clamor is just gonna try to open the door and shakily get out of the car and maybe someday he'll be brave enough to try driving again.

opening the door on Narumi's side before realizing he got knocked out, Clamor will at least try to catch him if he falls out rip]

[The horror movie monster vibe continues as one scarm's fingers rest on the lip of the broken window like a kilroy paw while the other slithers in like an eyeless snake and starts fumbling around for the door handle on the other side with some patting around. Shin himself is just staring into the window with an expression partway between deadpan and incredulous.]

...Helena's fine, Sara. He just missed us.

[IT WAS WAY TOO CLOSE and he's fine as well, thanks for asking but no hhhh he's not going to think about what would have happened if Helena did get hit lets place that in the box of more things to have nightmares about at 3am.

The scarm finds the handle and Shin pulls his head out as it tugs it open, moving back in to the doorway and then Lucifer yells and he freezes like a deer in headlights or someone caught stealing from the kitchen at midnight halfway through the motion.]

I-I... it was that! [Pointing at the scarf which is very much attached to him and is still holding the door open with his free hand. He's just full on panicked this came out of left field he's not prepared okay he actually is going to die actually this must be what a heart attack feels like.] I didn't have anything to do with it!

[He's just going to... get out of the car... maybe driving with Clamor reminds him a bit of having to teach Asmo to drive a little bit it's fine he only had several heart attacks, he's an old man.

Lucifer proceeds to try to help with Narumi at least, and with Clamor who's presently in shock it seems...

He picks up Narumi under one arm like luggage, slings Hikaru's unconscious ass over that same shoulder with the other, and then lifts Clamor with his free hand also like a luggage. This is so much.]

I suppose we take the bus, then.

[i'm so sorry guys Helena has just booked it a ways up the street to find something adequate to hide behind. a newsstand or something. when you stop trying to kill her she'll come back.]

( the wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round...

going to be driving off, maybe, but he's jk so he stops not too far ahead. )

[Oh look at that a convenient bus that was jacked by Komaeda. All aboard! Lucifer walks onto the bus and starts setting people down in seats like the luggage they all are.

Someone should go get Helena while he's setting everyone down and wrapping wings around Clamor I'm sorry he's like this.]

[Okay he's... not actually going to die... phew. His heart rate's slowly coming down at the apology and he can gather up the ruined scraps of his composure.]

...let's just get on the bus.

[Which is... rapidly leaving thanks Komaeda. He's going to swivel his head and look for Helena because doing headcounts is just his habit now. He'll go over to where she's hiding and ask quietly if she's okay (the answer is obviously no but you have to ask) and come back with her to and onboard the bus if she's amenable.]

( manifesting everyone on this bus because komaeda's yanking the hand piece that brings up the stop sign so that his toddlers (helena and shin) can get on board. )

Where are we going?

[Clamor probably muttering some apologies to everyone as he's dragged onto the bus like he's sorry, he tried his best... he won't crash a car again he's very sorry...

leans into his cozy wing pillow as he prays Komaeda is better at driving than he is]

[Komaeda is not a better driver than you, Clamor, don't worry about it. We're all going to die here.]

[thank you Shin, you're the best presence in this group that could have approached her barring Komaeda Nagunto over there. clinging a little to the scarf arm, her heart hasn't fully stopped fear-glowing by the time she gets back on, but she's put together enough.]

( he's not too sure what happened out there because he wasn't paying attention, but maybe there's like three people on the bus that are hiding under the chairs to grab ankles or something. they're going to re-hijack this bus, so help them god.
