Programming/Robotics Club is held in the workshop on the 2nd floor of the school. There's no official schedule, mainly because Add tends to just... live in the workshop, basically, so club members are welcome to show up whenever. The room is generally kept tidy, with supplies and scrap electronics stored in a locked closet while the room isn't in use. Two highly advanced computers are available for anyone to use, or you can build/bring your own computer.

Before you can enter club area, however, you first must get past the club bodyguard... Yeah, this fucking thing is stationed by the door now. Anyone not identified as a club member may or may not get picked up and dunked in the nearest trash can. Or maybe you'll get random junk pelted at you until you leave. Or maybe it'll attack you even if you are a club member or given permission to enter... it's a work in progress. Please be patient with our good pal Ball Monokuma, he's still learning.

He's the junk pile guardian after all... Nanami's junk, Inaba's junk, Kai's junk... it all makes it's way to him somehow.]

[Who's benefit is this for, when they both know that's a lie? He goes to the other side of the workstation, places his fingertips on the back of the laptop and pushes the lid down, not really caring if Komaeda's fingers get trapped; his own stay there. He saw the rosary comparison, so he knows Komaeda saw the eye-con. It makes him think of the eye keychain of Akira's that he still has, but that's a thought to follow up on later.]

Did you want something?

[Customer service voice and smile... There's only so many times Komaeda can show he has a weapon before the fact that he's armed ceases to scare in the moment and more is something to keep firmly in mind. Shin's terrified of the sword coming down but, with time to think about it, it can only be swung once. The smart move for Komaeda being to save it for something actually important... and just use the shadow of it.]

We're the best of friends, it's why I've came to see you, Hiyori-kun...~

( he adds a little energy at the end of his words despite that's not something he'd do, just to let the other known he's acknowledging him fully. he does manage having his fingers snapped shut into the laptop, and he laughs rather than flinch from pain, or say a common man's "ow" despite the pressure pushing down lightly. his eyes lift up, kind as always as he slips his fingers out, but the rosary remains stuck between which gives him some leverage to slip his finger back between the crack to try and push the computer back open, but he's sure that shin won't make that easy for him. )

I want you — ( r stuff. never have to elaborate with him, but he points at the charm that's clamped in between the panel and keyboard with his other hand. ) to lift it back up.

( the keychain that shin has actually has a pleasant surprise... anyway, anyway, komaeda glances back down at where his finger is wedged, and he presses up in hopes that the other gets the idea. if he doesn't, he can think of plenty of reasons as to why the other should allow the panel to fold back up properly, and he'll start with the most generic and common problem that tech nerds usually run into. not that shin's a tech n... yeah, he's totally a tech nerd, a neet... )

Imagine if you crack the screen, you'll be in an even more foul of a mood... and that's no good, silly... these are hard to come by.

[Ugh, that lilt. That gets a shudder that Shin manages to keep entirely internal for once. Interacting with Komaeda really does require his utmost, drawing on every single stolen piece and experience.]

[He's totally a tech nerd... but he can't be a neet, he's at school here. (He's totally still a neet, he just exudes essence of neet, it's in his soul whatever he does.)

He sighs, moves his fingers to the front of the laptop... and hooks it back quickly past Komaeda's fingers, as a bonus taking the rosary with it, because turnabout is fair play as far as he's concerned.]

That's all? Sure, here. [He teases out the rosary, twining it around his fingers before exaggeratedly opening the laptop like a clamshell and then shutting it again, tucking it under his arm. Keeping a lid on his reactions is one thing, but a smug air can't help but seep through because it doesn't register to the filters.] Uncracked, see?

( taking the laptop is one thing, but taking the rosary is another — just the invisible red string that keeps them together, and it all derives from shin's actions. in response, komaeda doesn't ask for it back, instead he stands up from where he sat, looking towards shin with interest. )

( take the laptop and leave? or is there something else komaeda's alluding to, but he wears that same mysterious smile on his face like something is meant to happen. he does this to put the other on edge, to be wary of his surroundings. )

You've heard the saying about stepping on a crack, haven't you? I'd be mindful of where you go, moving forward...

( he holds out his hand, looking towards the rosary like he's waiting for shin to hand it over. he does NOT have to hand it over, must be nice to have komaeda in the palm of his hand like this. he's on shin's time........

Huh? Do what?

[Komaeda's not the only one who can play dumb about things. He runs his thumbnail over the rosary, pulling it one bead at a time through his fingers. This is familiar ground. It's all fun and games, messing with Shin. And suddenly, the moment Shin tries anything even slightly of his own, when he's not cute and fluffy anymore, it's all menacing standing and ominous warnings and cold looks and mysterious implications with a smile, huh. He knows how this goes, very well. That's why his heart rate has sped up, underneath.]

Ahaha, I don't think I need to worry about my mother's back.

[That's an unexpected pang from an unexpected direction, really. Realizing that... his parents have outlived him. He wonders if they have any idea what happened to him... If they were given him back. What kind of cover story was come up with to explain the wounds if he was. If he got a funeral that wasn't some sick false nicety of the kidnappers.

...this isn't the sort of thing to be thinking about right now, in any case.]

[One bead. Two bead. He's not making any moves to put it in Komaeda's outstretched palm. That sure is something Komaeda's doing that has nothing to do with him.]

( he knows very well, but no skin off komaeda's bones, not unless shin goes as far as to scrape it off himself, but there's doubts. instead, he smiles softly at the other as he plays with the beads in his hand, and komaeda glances down to the laptop in the other. there's nothing he can do about it.

he looks away, almost too pleasant of a company who isn't doing anything but existing. he can't tell that shin wants him gone, but perhaps those prayer beads do, because isn't it just not in komaeda's favor for them to snap in shin's hands, sprawling all over the floor, and underneath shin's footing as well.

this is both good and bad, could be comical if god wills it. the good luck is that there's a possibility that's meant for shin to trip on them, the bad luck is that komaeda paid for that, and now he'll have to get something new next time around since it's completely broken — the beads were meant to do something specific, and maybe that's what shin was promoting in his smugness.

who knows, but the idea that instantly comes to komaeda's mind at the moment is that if shin trips, and the laptop goes flying, he'll certainly catch it, now it's time to see how things goes... )

[Things Shin expects: Komaeda to snatch it back Sara-style, with his smirk and gleam of eyes practically daring it, or Komaeda to stay there and pretend he doesn't actually care about it actually.

Things Shin does not expect: This. The thread snaps and small glass eyes go scattering all over the floor. He stares down at them with basically this expression. Seriously? Oops.]

[Unfortunately he's learnt his lesson with the toy-ota and does not make a move to step on any of this, especially since Rei is in there currently and it's not just him that stands to get hurt if he beefs it, but he is a tad distracted.]

( thinking how shin's blaming komaeda when he was the one who broke it, well, that's one way to turn it around on someone else. the charms rolling around on the floor that surround their feet, and komaeda walks on them like it's another day in hell — at least it's not nails, this is the least of their concerns. he watches the expression on shin's face to gauge whether his attention is on both the fact they broke and are all over the floor, or he's trying to find some way to apologize. )

Bold claim coming from someone who broke it, it's fine, just give back what you have left.

( which he's going to reach out to grab what stray beads may be in shin's hand — never mind, he wants to grab the computer instead (he has itchy fingers, you can roll a d20 on his success, or decide whether he loses or wins this round, idm) and there's a thump, thump coming their way. in the corner of komaeda's eyes, he sees that ball monokuma has been alerted to a mess being made in the workshop — note that add is a very neat individual, so maybe it took after him, but shin was the one to make that mess...

[At this point Shin is incredibly very well aware of Ball Monokuma's little... quirks... so sure thing Komaeda have the rest of the beads and snapped string back good luck he's pushing them into that outstretched itchy hand and then going to slide his butt onto the workstation and sit on it and draw his legs up out of ankle-biting and current-scanning reach while Komaeda stands in the middle of the marbles, laptop held on his lap.]

Things don't just break in normal use... unless they haven't been cared for.

[This is mostly just more of his pedantry, though.]

( he'll hold onto the string and what marbles are in hand, but he isn't too much worried about it, because he knows what they represent. )

Mm, Ball Monokuma's camera is better than that, besides...

( as he says that, the scanner looks up to komaeda, taking in his appearance and the item in his hand that made this mess. rerolling the camera feed in it's body, the scanner now quickly shifts to shin — jagged red eye glowing brighter, looks like its found who it's looking for. of course, komaeda watches the machine pull in both its paws and legs, rolls over closer to them (while missing the beads), and bounces up in a rather animated manner so that its limbs pop out in front of them. )

I'm just unlucky, you know? Well, I'm not you.

( and ball monokuma stands in shin's way, arms outstretched ready to pick him up— )

Yep... I am certainly not in your predicament.
