( in lieu of... not having really any leads on where to begin looking for a certain pink-haired child he'd grown fond of and lost at the start of the month, natsume spends the first week diverting his energies to something he does actually have an interest in:

the culture festival.

he's not that hard to find—

in the music room playing a few different songs throughout the week. he sings to each of them softly under his breath, fingers gliding smoothly over the keys... regrettably, he's an excellent piano player.

OR

on the rooftop working through choreography, since it's getting cooler and not a lot of people go up there. as expected of an idol—particularly one whose childhood tapes are still used as an example in a certain idol training school—, his movements are sharp and refined. he breaks to write down steps and work through them, but otherwise he's in short sleeves and covering his tallies with a wristband he got from one of his other outfits.

either of these prompts might have subaru popping in, or if you want he can just already be there! let us know in the subject :3 latter will have a tag order if you need it but it isn't necessary either )

and they deal with magic and club work.

for activities on the rooftop, he's recently learned this number from training with noah, though it isn't as large—just stay out of his way or you Will get hurt. he can heal you, which is something else he's been practicing with clamor, but come on. preventive care is the best kind. most of his energy is going into making it go further and stay longer, which is all a matter of control.

when he isn't practicing that, he'll be tending to the plants up there and fixing anything that needs a little extra care. he's a member of the gardening club, after all; he can't slack! and while technically the courtyard would be more ideal for this type of thing, he'll be using his (checks) 120-something rocks to make a cute little herb spiral, though given winter will soon be upon them it probably won't see too much use quite yet. it's okay, he wants more rocks for it.

for non-rooftop activities and instead school classroom activities, he'll be peering into the programming&robotics club every so often to look for add and see if he wants to come help with some stuff on his virtual reality system or to just talk geek shit, hanging around the game club to work through some of them and take notes on level designs for his own game-making things, and... the astronomy club, though that one is usually a night only thing, once he's done spending time with haruka on the ground level.

a tl;dr: he can be anywhere you want him to be... all's well. )

( because it doesn't really matter What day, just A Day that is going to see natsume up in subaru's bunk, very interestedly reading a certain book subaru's been acting suspicious about. every time he comes in, he hears the slam of a cover and shuffling before subaru greets him, so

being the nosy twat he is, he's just gone ahead and investigated this before either of them have to go off to their temporary unit practice. when he hears subaru enter—and he can tell it's him, he could tell even before the whole working-on-his-other-senses thing—he doesn't try to hide the book or anything.

he just calls from the top bunk, sound like a cat that's gotten into the cream: )

( a little melancholy for the 2nd to be here and to remember sena used to be here too, before things happened and...

natsume does his best to put it out of his mind, even though june's incidents have never really strayed that far from them, especially with chiaki now a returned student. seeing spirits isn't also an unusual occurrence for him nowadays, but the spirits he sees are usually limited to kazuki and haruka—not the flash of silver hair that catches his eye as he turns the corner to head to class.

he stares at izumi sena, certainly dead and certainly a ghost going by his translucency, and thinks about the other people he's seen in the background the past two days—people he was familiar with, people he wasn't, people...

but sena's not quite background material, not like them, and you know what? natsume isn't a model student anyway, he can skip class today, he has some culture festival business to discuss with subaru— so he locks eyes with sena, then immediately turns around and walks the other way. )

for amami, 11/enhpicksthis

( he's learned a lot about killing games, recently; and he's been thinking about them, about the video he'd been given, about rantarou amami. subaru is friends with him, but subaru is also not-as-discerning about the people he keeps the company of. he never has been, for better or for worse.

in natsume's opinion, usually for worse.

there are undoubtedly days where keigo is out and amami is in, and it's one of those days where natsume crosses the hall and finds their room, staring at the door for a moment before he knocks twice. )

[ it was only fitting that izumi sena came back from the dead on his very birthday, although it was without much fanfare. which, you know, sucks. izumi would usually turn heads whenever he crosses the street, for crying out loud! decked in simple yet luxurious brands from abroad, a pair of sunglasses perched on his nose...

but right now, he doesn't have any of that. his translucent self is in his cruddy yogen uniform, and he's never looked plainer.

but natsume wishes this is the only reason why izumi's unbelievably pissed right now. ]

Wow, not even a hello? [ crosses his arms as he watches natsume turn tail. ] Don't tell me you're actually going to run away, Sakasaki. I'd expected far better from you.

4 then for subaru wantin to die

[subaru pauses, freezes when he lifts his head to see where natsume's voice is coming from, heart picking up as he shuts the door behind him and he steps over quickly to climb the ladder--]
