[ Ramuda wakes up.
...He thinks he wakes up, at least. He can feel himself blinking, but all he sees is darkness all around him. He moves to sit up, but his head bangs on something only a few inches above him. He lets out a little pained "tech" before he starts to move his hands upwards. That, too, is proving to be tricky, given how little space he has to work with.
He's trapped somewhere, and oh, he does not like this at all. The feeling of being possibly buried alive somewhere is his first instinctual thought. IT is frightening. But like he's always done, he won't give up on his survival, even if it's hard to breathe in here.
Ramuda is weakened from...events that had occurred before being brought here, but he bangs on whatever's encasing him on all sides and yells for help with all his remaining strength. There's only so much he can do, though.
It's up to Rio Ranger now to be his savior. ]

[ When he's finally freed from his own personal hell, Ramuda finally takes his chance to check his PDA. What an ancient device.
He is very tempted to trash the thing, but he wisely decides not to and instead opts to head to his locker. 198. Easy enough to remember. ... Except he hasn't exactly been to school before, and navigating these hallways is kind of confusing? But when he finally manages to get to Locker 198, he grins and puts his hands on the lock.
He turns the dial. Turns it again. And again.
... He's totally doing this incorrectly.
Ramuda squints at it and clicks his teeth in frustration. He looks pretty unhappy with this, but when he sees someone nearby, his expression will immediately shift to one that's a little more sheepish rather than one of annoyance. ]
Hi, hi~! I'm a total newbie here, wanna help me out? I'm having some trouble with my locker, see! I'd super appreciate it if you could show me how to do this!

[ No red? No problem. Ramuda's not as fond of red as he is of yellow, and yellow is here!! That's all that matters!!
It's not like he's really doing anything with the yellow paint, though. Not this time, at least. He's using paper and pencil instead, and he's sketching something on one of the tables. It looks like he's drawing purely from scratch, but occasionally, he'll look up at something hanging up on the wall right across of him.
It's an extra set of the school uniform.
He's pretty focused on whatever he's drawing, but if anyone wants to peek, he won't stop them. It looks like he's redesigning the uniform, actually. ]

[ He says it very simply -- and, yeah, it is a pretty simple reason. He starts twirling his pencil around in his hand as he looks at Meng Yao with some curiosity in his eyes. ]

I would say that they're something I'm rather unused to. After all, the style doesn't really exist back in my home world. Naturally, I prefer what I am used to, however, so I can't say I've come to like the attire much.

[ Once he sees a face, it is ingrained into his memory, and he does not recall seeing this person until now. ]

What kinda situation is this exactly? I met some death gods earlier, but we're all in some kind of purgatory, aren't we?
[ He's trying his best to keep his chipper facade on despite this, but it's proving to be quite a bit of effort. ]

[ He just shakes his head. They have quite the selection of characters in this school and that has been an element that has never changed over the past...oh, eight months he's been here (that he can recall anyway.) ]
So in essence our situation is a dubious one in of itself...as it is, the goal of the students who attend this school seem to be to 'graduate' from it completely. Then from there hopefully reincarnate into a new life. Though, the luxury of that seems to be granted to just the third years.
That is, of course, how things appear to be now. And given that this isn't a world most of us are familiar with, I can't be certain how we 'died' means that our arrival here should have occurred at all. Or that we should 'reincarnate' as is expected...since I am still hinging on us being able to find a way home.
[ He smiles briefly in a conspiratorial, yet wry manner before frowning slightly. ]
I apologize if this sounds quite a lot as it is, however. When I first learned this, I wasn't very happy to learn I was 'dead', after all.

I don't even remember dying. I have an idea of how it might've happened, but -- it shouldn't have.
[ His voice is deeper when he talks, lacking its cheer and peppiness from earlier. He's grimacing over this, big time. ]

I suspect that regardless of the difference between those two categories, we shouldn't have come here at all. And that the supposed 'death' for those who should be still alive, wasn't under natural circumstances.
[ Though while he thinks it is a simple matter to reach the conclusion for the first, he'd like to find proof of the second, among other things. ]
I believe I've been here for about nine or so months.
...Though, with that said, I suppose there's something else I should warn you against. That is, of course, going into the void that's slowly been growing. It's dangerous, and if you want a chance to live and return home, I'd advise you to avoid it at all costs.

...Well, you never really know, for one thing.
And for another, I believe that there may be those who can navigate through that area without having to worry too much about meeting an unfortunate fate, but I'd be surprised if you would be one of those people. That is not an invitation to attempt it, though you don't strike me as foolish.
[ Which is just him being nice, honestly, but that is just how he is. ]
That aside, there are other dangers in this place of a supernatural nature. However it can be relatively simple to avoid that if you just use common sense. Such as not going alone outside of the school by your lonesome rather far from the school for example.
