So, it's almost December, so I'm curious: who here isn't familiar with Christmas?
Are we going to have to explain it to people?

Not me. I have no reason to celebrate it.

I did speak to someone about celebrating it, though. I'm not sure if she still wants to.

Not that there's much to celebrate in the first place, but a party would keep everyone else busy for a while, provided everyone shows and that it's actually advertised.

I get the impression there are a few of us that aren't into surprise parties.

If I'm going to be honest, a distraction is certainly what the doctor ordered.

Also: if a party is going to happen, people need to lay down ground rules because I am not dealing with any bullshit on Christmas.

Agreed. The step after that of course being figuring out who we can get to actually enforce those rules. I'm good at event planning on short notice, but I damn sure can't do security.

Come to think of it, if this party were to happen, where the hell do we get gifts from anyway? The school store?

Basically. Kind of why I'm not really interested in throwing a Christmas party myself.

Maybe? There might be people interested in rocks for Christmas.

That's not a terrible idea. I bet somebody around here's interested in having a pet rock. At least on its own, a rock could be trusted not to misbehave.

...Don't take this the wrong way, Inaba. But you don't strike me as the type who frequents parties to begin with. Maybe it's just the situation we're in that makes celebrating anything a lot less palatable.

I'm not. But I end up getting involved in plenty of parties one way or another. Or at least, that's how it was back home.

I can relate to that. In so much as, I'll attend if I get invited to one.

Some things like that are just too difficult to decline. It's like if somebody gets you a present, and they relentlessly insist.

Well, it's certainly not too bad if it's with the right people.

Haha, can't imagine getting any presents in this hellhole, that's for sure.

I guess not. I don't even know what kind of presents you'd get from a place like this. Probably your own coffin.
